People argue that abortion is murder. How can the removal of an embryo that looks like a potato with growth, does not have functioning organs (including a heart), and could not sustain itself outside of your body be considered murder? At the point of abortion in most cases, that is the extent of lifeform in the embryo.
And if you want to throw around the word "murder", let's think about if abortion were illegal again, or what happens in countries where it is still illegal... The women who would be getting a safe abortion performed by a medical professional are forced into shoddy, back-alley procedures. In the past, and in some countries, women have resorted to using coat hangers or sharp objects, knitting needles, and other long instruments to try to rupture the placenta. The majority of these women have ended up stabbing their uterus, causing death. There are women who have taken herbs and vitamins in excess to try to cause contractions in the uterus. Many have damaged the embryo in the process, alot have poisoned themselves and died, or experienced near-death.
There are so many circumstances where it's not feasible to keep the baby, or give it up for adoption.
-Many of these pregnancies result in rape. Carrying the pregnancy would ruin relationships or worse-in some countries victims of rape who are unmarried and become pregnant would be jailed or murdered.
-Complications for the mother
-No access to adoption agencies.
etc.
Even in the U.S, Canada, UK, other developed countries where it is legal to have abortions, there are some areas where women don't have access to facilities or it is still outlawed. It isn't easy when you are in their position.
I agree that abortion can be a terrible thing to think of, but you should look at all sides of the spectrum before automatically assuming it is a bad thing.

You truly have a bit more studying to do, and opening up to common sense as well. For you to call a human life a "blob". I had a miscarriage at 10 WEEKS..... I held my precioius baby in the palm of my hand..... my BABY was completely formed, and I could see the wrinkles in his hands and toes and his blue eyes.
Sometimes people can be "book smart", but have ABSOLUTELY NO HEART, AND COMMON SENSE. Perhaps you should do some research further and search for common sense

My greatest suggestion for you would be to go to both Pro Life and Pro Choice sites, print out information, study it and write a paper for yourself and you will do GREAT !!!! Both sides of "the coin" have different beliefs, and that is ok. Alot of people have different beliefs for a myriad of reasons, alot have to do with personal experiences and things they have seen. I myself am Pro Life, I volunteered as a counselor in a crisis pregnancy center and was a post abortion recovery facilitator.
I judge no one else. I just know what I have seen/experienced/prayed about. I had a miscarriage this past november and had the absolute privelige (my brain went out on spelling, sorry) of seeing my 10 week baby and held him. But I would be more than happy to help you out as best I can. Shoot any questions you may have, I will answer them to the best that I can.
Also, a GREAT book to read is "Won By Love".... you wont be able to put it down. It was written by the woman who was THE "Jane Roe" in the Roe vs. Wade case. It is a MUST read for anyone who is seeking the truth of the matter. The author of the book is Ms. Norma McCorvey.
I dont would love to share my knowledge with you. But the choice of which you think is best is yours. Take some good time, and really research in depth.
You can also pm me if you would like
Blessings,
Hizgrace

That is an unfair statement!!!!!
Why? Because, most of the time women choose to have an abortion is because they do not want a baby, and to carry a child for 9 months and then having to give it away to someone else defeats the purpose. It is not fair, I know there are women out there who are unable to have children and would love to adopt, but for once how about you think about someone who may want or need an abortion and have some empathy about how they may feel and stop being so heartless!! Feel free to respond, cos I will not back down!!
Your a cow and heartless. You have serious issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not every woman does it for selfish reasons. I'm about to do get one, using the pill. However, I have two babies already and my last one gave me complications so bad that after delivery (vaginal without any epidural) I had to wait 6 months and go back to the hospital for surgery. It's been 4 months after the surgery and I'm PREGNANT! I got on Birth control but still got pregnant by my husband, so I have to do this. Believe me, it hurts me emotionally but it doesn't help to have all sorts of ignorant people saying things when they don't understand those that HAVE to have one for medical reasons. It hurts to hear those things, it's really humboldt me throughout this because I use to say it was murder and be one of those people. Now that I have no choice but to have one, it pains me to see others do this when they could easily end up here. No contraceptive is 100%! So I'm going to use two different types after this!
