I am 40 and a male and have had this problem for about eight months on and off. It goes away completely for days on end and then just starts up again. If I exercise in any form (bike, walking, running, eliptical, etc.) it starts really bad. I went to the doctor and a urologist and they say that it's just a muscle group or a nerve and it will go away if I just change my exercise. I have completely ceased exercise for about four months now and it still comes with the same frequecy. It's a pain in the right testicle/groin area, pain shooting down my leg that sort of feels like a severe case of your leg falling asleep, and sometimes this same pain occurs in my right arm. There is no pain on my left side. I have no answers at this point but if anybody does I would appreciate it.

I have the exact same symptoms except on my left side.

Im thinking that it could be some sort of sexually transmitted infection. Herpes or something like that maybe. I pray its not herpes.

I went to the doctor once and he said there was no abnormality he could feel.

I really dont know what to do next!

I have similar symptoms, with pain in my right testicle, traveling to where the right leg and pelvis meet, right behind the testicle. This pain rarely is felt traveling down my inner right thigh, or the back of my right thigh.

I work at a job where I sit the entire day, and then I go home and sit in front of my computer for a few more hours, then I go home. A urologist had my testicle sonogramed, with no negative results. He is also having me wear a jock strap and take antibiotics (in case it is a prostate infection causing the testicle pain) but I still get the pains from time to time. I am in a monogamous relationship with my girlfriend, and we are active sexually.

Anyone else have more info on symptoms like these?

I have the same thing...

minor, dull pain in the right testicle, but i have a feeling (not really pain) go down the inside of my thigh down to my feet. I don't have any abdominal pain though. Also movement doesn't seem to affect it. I also am quite healthy, not overweight.

It started one morning almost a week ago. I think it could deal with hormones. The night before I went to the hospital with a panic attack and had some blood drawn, the outcome was a high level of TSH. But I don't know for sure yet.

Later in the week, about 3 days after the panic attack I had my testicle examined at the hospital, they checked it manually and with a ultrasound (blood flow, any abnormalities, etc.) and everything checked out normal. doctors instructions, wear more supportive underwear and take ibaprofin when needed... so for me, it doesn't seem like anything to be horribly worried about...

also with the ultrasound, no bumps or any abnormalities, blood flow looked and sounded good, and nothing really was out of place...

I'll probably see my doctor again in a week if pain continues. Also I since my TSH levels were high I have to see a endocrynologist (possible Hypothyroidism), I'm going to ask questions about it and see if I can solve it.

Might be hormonal or something else thats completely different, I'll post again if any advancements are made...

exact same symptoms here... so far I've been to the doctor and they told me to get an ultrasound, which showed everything as normal. Then I went back to the doctor, and he said sometimes the pain can be referred from above or below the testicles, so he said I should get a whole whack of things – 2 ultrasounds, an x-ray, bloodwork, urine test, etc. I'm going to go in for the tests probably, but I'm not sure when yet. I'll let you know what the results are.

doctor thinks its just a pulled muscle in the groin (though it doesn't feel like one), it has been getting better...

anyway if you sit all day and don't stretch your muscles or exercise, like me, I'm guessing it could be possible, Ibuprofin seems to help a lot, so just take something over the counter, avoid exercises like running and try not to stretch that location. Try swimming and maybe biking, try to exercise more and stretch when it goes away... above all else try not to move it...

but seriously this is only a answer to my problem not everyone else, if you have any pain in the groin or testicles go see the doctor ASAP!!!

sorry to double post but if it is a groin pull, it can last as long as 2 months, MINIMUM!

if you look at runners/tennis players forums some last 7 months!

You should check in with a neurologist so they can check the nerve activity.

I'm going to a urologist first and if nothing there, then a neurologist.

It's common knowledge that men dont like going to the doctors, usually
because they are embarrased or dont think its important etc.

Pleeeeease go to the doctors if you think somethings up or have pains in your 'private parts'. I work as a nurse and let me tell you doctors see balls, penis's, vagina's, bums and everything else EVERYDAY.

I know when i have an embarrasing problem i always think the doctors would rather see my parts than a crusty old womans!

Its great that a lot of you have been to the doctors already 8)

Greetings all,

I'm 40 and have had the same problem left testicle left leg. I had it 3 years ago for about 4 months twice and 2 long runs of antibiotics made it go away. Of course I was also reasonably inactive during that time because activity aggravated it.
I've had an ultrasound and many puzzled doctors. Currently I'm being treated with antibiotics again for a possible prostate infection and the testicle is hurting again. not as much the leg this time though but I jumped on it right away instead of waiting this time.

No Joy, however I have found that increased physical activity aggravates it.

I've always worn boxers and let them hang free
I'm slightly overweight
I rarely masturbate (because I'm afraid of going blind or married)

The varicose vein suggestion is intriguing. How many of you have Cholesterol issues in your families? Could it be circulation related?

Sounds similar to what I'm experiencing. My right testicle sometimes aches, and so does my right leg, mostly in the knee area.

I have a cyst on the top of my right testicle, which I had checked out 3 years ago, and I don't believe it's associated with the ache.. though, I'm not a doctor ;-)

I think it's best to go and get it checked again.

Yea ive had this problem now for about a week too....
My right testicle aches and it moves around to the groin/Leg area :-(

Anyone know what it may be... I dont feel as bad now considering how many men out there are suffering from this, I may still go to the doctors though to be on the safe side of things ;-)
