Honestly, I recommend to smoke marijuana and workout high and sweat it all out, that’s how I was able to become the same old me before taking any medication. I also stopped drinking coffee or any energy drinks. Yes I was drinking those for a stronger effect and it helped me focus more. I suffered for a couple of days but after that I had more energy than before I took any pills

Well, you should be careful because being a Christian and doing yoga do not go hand in hand. Yoga posses are of Hindu God's.

This post gives me hope. I was in adderall for about 14 years and I am trying to staying off if it. I really do have ADHD and never worked without it. Life is harder for sure but I’m hoping it gets better. I have been off this time for three months and now I am feeling exhausted all the time to the point that I can’t hold conversations, coffee doesn’t work and I couldn’t get to the gym. I’ve started back st the gym really slowly- like 20-30 min on the bikeZ this is helping but the headaches and fatigue, Brian fog are a killer. Does anyone know if this is going to improve or if this is just my reality with having add.

Can you comment on how you are doing? I’m in a similar situation.

Thank you for your story; reading it helped me!! I quit adderall after 7 yrs and I’ve been clean for 5 months. Can you tell me if you ever lost your libido when you quit. And if so how long until I get mine back I miss me before I ever took adderall.

Hi Sleeplessbox,
I just wanted to say thank you for the along the time to write a comprehensive answer. I, for one, found it immensely helpful.

Sorry about the autocorrect. I meant to say, “Thank you for taking the time to write such a comprehensive response.”

I was told this would be my normal now. The fatigue and memory loss especially. Adderall effects on the brain are not reversible, especially if you’re not adhd. This is a new normal you have to adjust to. Unfortunately.

Never thought of Yoga. Thank you for the advice. I agree, its completely taken over my life and when I did cold turkey, I also took massive amounts of supplements, vitamines, minerals, visit a health food store. Most times they can direct you in what will help make a huge difference, one called ENERGY, Its got all vitamines but you have to figure out what works best for your body.
Best thing to do is start taking all things now as you taper down so its in your sytem. Takes alot longer and consistency patience and consistency.
However it can be done. I wouldnt recommend doing what I did cold turkey, I died but brought back and had many praying plus faith.
All depending I cant speak for anyone else but its a miracle im alive and I believe God is the reason.

The issue is I think is what kind of state a persons health is. That makes a huge difference. Like you said supplements and exersice should be already in place before going off then its more like a routine and less and less you take then your off.

I quit taking Adderall four months ago due to being pregnant. I took 50 mg xr for ten years. I have anxiety constantly. I sleep a lot and struggle to do anything at all. Had a miscarriage. Gained 10/15 pounds. Hoping someday I will feel "normal" again. Only positive from not being on Adderall is that I eat a lot healthier and sleep better. Good luck to everybody going through this difficult time.

readyforwhat131955 - how are you feeling now? I just quit after 10 years and I was taking more than 60mg a day. The fatigue is unbearable I count down the minutes until i can sleep. How long until I don’t feel this way?
