I work in a pub kitchen, if we get any complaints about the food I am always called upon to shake my dandruff over the food of the customer who complained food, more often than not I do it over the complimentary desert we give out if a customer is unhappy, nothing better than watching someone eat ice cream or chocolate cake with a sprinkling of my finest dandruff as a topper.

I have managed to collect mine in a jar for about 2 years now, got a good mixture of dandruff and dried up reddish scabs in the jar now, I am white and I have always wanted to know if black people have brown dandruff and do they shake their heads over white surfaces?

Hi, I also love seeing dandruff fall from my hair but I have an habit of using my finger nails to dig into my scalp creating scabs, today I had my hair cut and the barber ripped through a nearly healed scab causing a lot of pain but in a way I enjoyed the pain, 3 hours later and the area stings like crazing, i am a male of 41 from the Uk

This made me laugh. No it's still white and I like to shake my head over any easy to clean surface, but I have noticed that it is more exciting to see flakes on a black one. My favorite place is a bathroom sink though. I can look in the mirror at my scalp to see all the flakes and it falls right in the sink where it can be rinsed easily away. I'm glad I found this forum. I thought I was weird. I hate the dandruff, but I love to scratch it, pull a huge flake off a hair strand and look at it, pick enough to create scabs, then proceed to pick said scabs, and I usually hate getting anything under my finger nails to the point of cringing, but I like scratching enough to get a cluster flakes under them. It's so strange, but I love it, just as long as they don't stay under my nails for very long, only long enough to examine. I have a nail "picker" handy just for my head scratching binges. Although reading some of the posts here, I am very blessed not to have developed any bald spots. My hair is the longest and thickest of my whole family so much so that they claim the dandruff makes my hair grow, despite my father, (who passed on his seborrheic dermatitis to my youngest brother and myself) losing hair or having trouble growing it from the same condition.

I also love the scabs that come from picking, yes it hurts so much when my barber slices through them if his comb catches them but in a weird kind of way I also love it when he catches the scabs , I am a male and have my hair cut short so this happens regularly, on my last visit my barber noticed that he had sliced through a scab and said to me , " oh, you have a little cut on your head and its bleeding" I just said, " oh, I have had an itch there and I have been scratching it" I too have often wondered if black/Asian people had brown dandruff but have been too afraid to ask, if you look on Utube and type in Matts dandruff you should see a video of a guy in an office with his workmates shaking his dandruff over a black jumper much to his mates amusement.

I'm a 44yo African American and I get my wife to scratch my head because it feels great and it relaxes me. It even puts me to sleep. I don't have dandruff but no massage relaxes me like a good head scratch.

Today I let my 7 year daughter comb my hair ( she likes to pretend to be a hairdresser)
She used a plastic comb she has in her kit, I was thinking everything would be fine but she caught 1 of my 2 scabs on my scalp and ripped it clean off, it was hard not to swear but I was a good dad and hid the pain, my daughter freaked out when she noticed my scalp was bleeding, the blood has now dried and going to give it a couple of days and then I can get my finger nail behind it and rip it off at my pace.
