I am a woman with a breast cancer. I had CT scan recently that showed a node on my adrenal glands, but PET scan I done right after it, showed no other cancer. I wonder if this adrenal node is cause of cancer? I am thinking to visit endocrinologist before I go to the surgery, what do you think?
I think that adrenal glands are unlikely to cause cancer but it is possible for some cancers to spread to the adrenal gland. It is possible that adrenal node is not even related to your cancer. I think you should do biopsy of that node. Talk to your oncologist first.
First of all I am so sorry that you have to fight with this terrible disease. Have they told you the prognosis? How serious it is and what do you expect from the surgery.
I hope that everything is going to be just fine and that you will beat this cancer. Regarding your question I think it is best to talk to your oncologist, just like schade already has mentioned, and give him the results of CT scan. Since he is medical expert he will know what is best to do but also maybe the biopsy will be necessary to determine what is in question.
I hope that you will be fine and that everything is going to be just like it should.
