My solution:  Hi, I've been to numerous websites and asked countless people about this situation. There have been many explanations but not really many solutions other than switching to briefs (I wear boxers). I was getting a sharp pain to my testicle that hangs the lowest EVERY single time while I ran. Afterwards it is fine if not a little sore, with absolutely no swelling. Through self-diagnosis I have found that I have the "tetherball" effect, meaning it just hangs too much and is just getting knocked around like it's a freaking tournament. I have stopped exercise routines for long durations many times just because I don't want to feel that pain. Well through much persistence I have found a solution that made that pain go from happening every time to being completely nonexistent. I found that I was very stiff when I ran. What I mean is when I would run I would just look forward and go straight. My upper body was in robot mode. So I started thinking if it is hanging too low how can I stretch it out (or up) to keep it from getting knocked around. I STARTED TO SWING MY SHOULDERS WHILE I RAN. While making the stereotypical boxer stance, I swang each shoulder forward opposite the leg that was stepping forward (i.e. left shoulder forward, right leg forward; to right shoulder forward, left leg forward). I had never even considered that before but after trying it just the first time I was greatly impressed how the pain is just gone to this simple solution. I'm not saying it's a guaranteed fix because I'm not a medical professional, but give it a try. I hope this helps anyone with the same problem and please let me emphasize SAME; if you have consistently worsening pain, additional symptoms, and/or swelling, you should definitely SEE A DOCTOR. Btw.... one last note; I always stretch and never switched to briefs. Happy Running =)

I doubt it.... Usually testicle cancers are painless. As regards pain, hard to say. Most causes go unidentified

If your testicle enlarges it is a more serious problem

I have had this problem for over 10 years, off and on. I found that when I used to run in loose boxers the problem was worse. When I switched to tighter fitting boxer briefs, the problem reduced drastically. When your balls are bouncing around for 30 minutes, they are bound to hurt. And if one is hanging down lower than the other, from I have read is perfectly normal. It is your bodies way of keeping them from hitting each other. This however, is not the case for everyone. You should always go see a doctor and confirm that you do not have any issues. Doctors are here to help, no need to be embarrassed or have too much pride and find out you are sterile down the road.

Varicoceles is very common.
A varicocele is when veins become enlarged inside your scrotum (the pouch of skin that holds your testicles). These veins are called the pampiniform plexus. Ten to 15 of every 100 males have a varicocele. It is like getting a varicose vein in your leg.

I solved most of the problem using running short that supports my balls very tightly.
