My son had respiratory infection last month and doctor prescribed him amoxicillin.
As he was better after 2 days, I stopped giving him drugs. Now he is sick again and I am worried if I made mistake. Should I give him the pills that are left in the package?

Amoxicilin is an antibiotic and you should never make decisions on your own when to use it and when to stop using it. Bacteria that caused infection may become resistant on drug. Respect doctor’s recommendation especially when your child is diseased.
Visit pediatrician and take care.

As a licensed physician nothing annoys me the most than when patients prescribed antibiotics stop taking them after thet feel better. You are selecting for bugs that may become resistant to the antibiotic you are using. ALWAYS FINISH ALL OF THE PRESCRIBED ANTIBIOTIC MEDICINES!
