What you have is call PMDD, a more extreme form of PMS that effects only 3 to 8 percent of the female population. Try taking St. Johns Wort, it will take about three months to truly get into your system but you will notice the changes in a couple of hours. I recommend you take it daily for the first month and then after that only at the start of your premenstrual (continuing until a day or two after you start).

I suffer from severe anger when I'm due on which seems to stop when I come on. Like many of you I am uncontrollable, say the most horriblist things to my husband and 8 year old daughter that are totally unacceceptable and quite frankly disgusting. I'm ashamed of my self but I can't stop I have to keep going and let it all out. I went to my doctor after searching the internet and he suggested B6. It took the edge off but not enough so I went back and was put on an antidepressant oxatin. I take this only when my cycle starts and stop when the bleeding starts. It does work very well. Recently I was in hospital talking to my nurse she sufferes the same and takes B6, magnesium and the third item which I have forgotten but is listed further down in the comments. I'm thinking of trying this to see if it is any better than the oxatin. I asked my doctor what will happen when I start the menopause. I'm actually worrid that I might get so bad and uncontrollable that I will hurt someone. He says it doesn't work that way. I prey he's right!!! Chin up girls. Keep trying different things till you get the right one for you xx

Me too. I went on here because I've battled this for years. I almost get scared before it comes. I get soooo angry like some demonic force has taken over me. I freak out on my bf for the tiniest thing. I feel so bad for him. I just wish I knew how to not feel this rage. I heard about b6 though. I'm curious if it works.

I have the SAME problem. I get angry and upset for the stupidest reasons. I drive my boyfriend insane at times when we comes over during that TOM and attack him over the stupidest stuff. I also become more aggressive especially when I'm in public. I tend to fume on the road and complain about everything which then leads to cry spells and me hating on myself. My PMS has definitely got more rough in terms of mood since I hit 20. I find exercise to be the best way to soothe and balanced those nasty hormones that causes me to act like a moody B*tch . Also, check your diet, but my strongest recommendation is definitely to exercise. I notice a huge change in my cycles when I keep up a good exercise regime. Much more tolerable.
