I've been through 2 REALLY BAD :'( pain attacks which send me straight to the hospital. The pain start on my flank and rotate to the back, & to the stomach area. MY Primary doctor sent me to a urologist since they found a tumor on my kidney. Urologist said it was a fatty tumor on my kidney, which is NOT cancerous, it might grow, it might not, he said I shouldn't worry about it but do keep it observed with CT scans etc, at least every 6mths. He also performed a cystoscotomy and found blood in my urine, but no dropped bladder. I asked about the blood in my urine but he was not able to give me a proper answer about it why it's there . I am about worried the tumor getting bigger or if there's a possibility of spreading to other vital organs. should i consult another doctor or specialist? i dont knw what to do, im worried, im stressed about this whole shocking situation, what are my risks, what lifestyle changes do i need to make? Tumor size is appx 6cm, dr said its too small to have it surgically removed. HELP! suggestions, advise, experiences,,, :-( :'(
Hi there, I think that it woudl be a good idea to see a specialist to answer your other questions. It sounds like you have concerns that your urologist couldn't answer. Ask to see another one. Do you live in a big town at least to where there would be another?
i suggest you to take opinion of atleast 2-3 doctors, never go with just 1 docs suggestion.. if you can let me know which city you stay in, i can help you with some good docs info
I had extreme stomach bloat and gas so a CT discovered my angiomylipoma. It t grew so large,( like a 6 month old baby) and burst after Katrina from heavy lifting.talk about extreme pain!Ended up in the hospital for 10 days. I had known about it before for over a year and my GP DR kept an eye on checking every 6 months. The urologist had to wait for it to go back together some, from Oct-Feb. I had an 8 hour surgury with 2 urologists, and was cut almost half way around, removing the bottom right rib and a piece of my right kidney. It took almost a year to completely recover, but I still have a nodule on my right kidney, which they couldn't remove because of other health problems, being under so long and all the bleeding. I am going in again next week to see if another one, (the nodule), has grown again, as the gas is back. Go see another DR if you are having the pain. A young enthusiastic Osche Hospr DR saved my life before. My GP kept trying to tell me I was lactose intolerant, and had UDI! Go get 2-3 opiinons if necessary or until you get some relief and piece of mind. God bless. Wish you the best.
