Are there any side effect because zinc is used a long time in acerodermatitis enteropatica?

I was wondering if anyone could clear this question up for me. I know that acerodermatitis enteropatica patients get zinc supplements in whatever form on a regular basis, which is to help with the treatment of acerodermatitis enteropatica. So, are there any negative side effects due to long term zinc supplements that are used in the treatment of acerodermatitis enteropatica?
