I know for a fact that the good Dr. and Dana DOCTOR the drug test when they want to get rid of a patient, too bad they got rid of two patients who had the same Primary care Physician who did NOT look to kindly to the way they were treated, she filed a complaint against him.....
after prescribing my medication for years I was cut off. I'm now going through withdrawl and it's affecting my life at home and especially my life at work. There was no letting me off of it easy or anything just poof and no more meds. I've never had a doctor do that to me before and now my life feels like not worth living.

I am totally blown away by the comments on this message board concerning Dr Theesfeld. He has been nothing but fantastic to me and I didn't have insurance. I was on Workers Comp. So dump the good insurance against the low income insurance. He has and is a total blessing to me. My doctor recommended him highly and I was told if anyone can fix my hand enough to use, it's Dr Theesfeld, via Dr Charles Marable. After going to different doctor for 7 years, I'm talking Specialist, Dr Theesfeld has been the only doctor that could help me.
I have RSD in my hand and arm and was not able to use my hand at all. I wouldn't let anyone touch it because of the pain. The median nerve was cut in my palm during a carpal tunnel surgery. I had 3 surgeries on it without any success of fixiing the nerve. I had years of physical therapy, and tons of medications that didn't work. On my first visit with him he had a plan. He implanted a Stimulator into my side so I could control the pain. People with God as my witness, he gave me TOTAL QUALITY OF LIFE AS FAR AS USING MY HAND. He's always been kind to me although at times during my pain I wasn't so kind to him, which I feel ashamed. He knew what he was doing and I had my head set that I'm going through another failed treatment for my hand. All that was needed was time for the stimulator site to heal. Dr Theesfeld did this for me in 2008, he and his wife even met me on a Saturday when the clinic was closed to ease my fears. Now it's 2009 and I've run back to him to fix a bulging disc and Sciatic pain. I trust him completely. I know God's Blessed Him to Help Others and I Know that's What He and His Staff Have Done For Me. HE CARES AND HE HAS THE KNOWLEDGE TO GET YOU THROUGH YOUR PAIN. He has a plan for anyone to get them back on the road again. My hand and arm will never be the same but I'm not crying night and day over the pain. He helped me control it. I can't wait for his miracle through Our Lord Jesus to help my back so I can walk forever. I know he will do it and I know I will walk and walk painfree.
People you need to keep your little fits off this board because you can be sued for slander. All I've read is lies and I've been going to him long enough to know if the things you claimed were true, I would of seen it. Nothing I've read is true so be very careful. If he quit seeing you it was because you didn't follow his advise or you didn't go by the paperwork you signed not to abuse any of the medicine. The paperwork say he does random drug testing and this is something you agreed to before he ever saw you. Counting your medicines is a sure fire way for him to know if your abusing or not following his orders. So my friends, be very careful. His Knowledge of Right and Wrong is so much more than you'll ever know. And his Knowledge of Treating Patients is Amazing. This is coming from a patient who IS low income and he's treated me wonderfully. Melani

:| I own my own business..have done so for 20 years..I am currently and have been a patient of Dr. Theesfeld's for aprrox a year. The medical condition I have has caused me to deal with many medical personnel, from Doc's to RN's to PA's to all strata of personel within many Medical facilities..for the past 5 years.. As an Employer and a Professional who deals with the general public, I am suspicious of the motives of the patients who cliam to be victems and the former employees, who have made disparaging remarks about Dr. Theesfeld. I have terminated my share of employees, and I have found on way too many occasions, they have slanted the circumstances of their experience in my employ, to cause it to appear as if they had done nothing wrong or in cases where the employee was not able to perform their daily tasks at the level required and they chose to leave, I have heard too many times, from 3rd. parties that these folks were making it seem that I am impossible to work for. I do have a high obligation to my clients, to maintain a minimum level of service and customer care..some folks can't get there.
With regard to former patients, I am suspicious of their motives because pain is a very subjective dynamic. What is very painful for one person, may be barely noticed by another. I do not know Dr. Theesfeld on any level other than my pain mangement Physician. When I presented myself to him after using a pain managment Doc. in Dallas for almost a year. I found and continue to find him to be a serious, compassionate and determined person. He looks me straight in the eye and ask questions, relative to my pain level and physical status. I have always found his staff to be in a professional and caring mode. I have never detected that they fear him or disrespect him. Quite the contrary. At his facility in Longview, he has made a major effort to assess my current med needs. He listens to me and is very interested in my quality of life. I have dealt with a lot of post op Doc's. And I can tell, there is a huge National Pressure on them to NOT give pain meds unless you demand them. I've always felt like I had to prove I needed the meds. Upon considering all the issues, I observed what I believe is an unstated agenda on the part of the Doc's. We have all heard that we are the most pain medicine using society in the industrial world. The Pain Managment Doc's are under extreme pressure by the powers that be, not to mention moral and ethical reasons, to wean people off of these very, very addicting medications. If a Doctor is not continuosly screening for unreal pain intervention request, but what all too often becomes an emotional and physical addiction, then he or she is failing the patient. The long term effects of these powerfull pain blocking drugs are profound and harmfull in the long run. In closing, my personal journey with pain intervention has been a very emotional one. I have experienced the anxiety of realizing I am coming up on the refill date, for the morphine, and thinking Oh God, what if something goes wrong, and they don't believe me. You feel like you're a suspect and you must somehow prove you still need the same level of medication or maybe even more as your condition evolves. I understand this IS, the nature of the beast. The Doc's must be suspicious and compassionate at the same time. I have been challenged all thru this journey by all the medical players since my injury and multiple operative procedures. God Bless Dr. Theesfeld. I believe he is a God Respecting Man. I believe he is a good man who is working with all kinds of patients and their personalities and all kinds of former and curent employees, and their personalities.Bottom Line, Don't Risk influencing local to Longview Patients to avoid Dr. Theesfeld for your personal, didn't get along with him reasons. Move on, and let it go.

You've said everything I wanted to say. My exact thoughts on digruntled employee's and patients complaining about Doc. My thoughts were they didn't get the addictive med's they wanted or abused what they were given. Dr Theesfeld is a very humble doctor and will stop you in your tracks when your praising him for you feeling so much better. He is a God fearing Man and gives All the Glory to God. I got so mad reading these hateful post about Dr Theesfeld until I couldn't even relate what I was feeling. I would and do tell anyone with Pain Problems to go talk to Dr Theesfeld because being lead by the Lord he comes up with the perfect plan for your problem. a1acman01 thank you for standing
up for Doc. He is truly a blessing to me.
I would like to add that I was very emotional with my pain. I've been through a triple bypass, diabetes, a very painful bulging disc and Sciatic Nerve pain, spasms in my back and legs and numerous other pains so when it comes to pain, I feel I've had my fair share. Doc had prescribed a pain medication and depression med which I on my own have quit talking them unless really needed, which may be a 1-5 Narco's and 0 depression meds in months. He is very responsible for what we put into our bodies and we should be too.
He has made my QUALITY OF LIVING, so much easier to deal with. I recommend Dr Theesfeld treatment and care to the World.
One more thing. I have been going to Dr Theesfeld for over a year a now and everyone of the employees that were in his Fort Worth Clinic are still there today. God Bless Dr Theesfeld, his wife and wonderful Staff.

Slander: A type of defamation. Slander is an untruthful oral (spoken) statement about a person that harms the person's reputation or standing in the community.
I do not see any untruths presented here.

Ok so maybe it is not slander but it is libel-defamation by written or printed words, pictures, or in any form other than by spoken words or gestures.
I see lots of this on this site.

I have been seen by Dr Theesfeld for over 3 1/2 years after breaking my back and two surgeries with poor outcomes. I was told that I would have to live with this, at times, unbearable pain for the rest of my life. Let me tell you at 46 this was not what I wanted to hear. I had been a nurse for 26 years had just recieved my "dream" job, have a great family, very active life with friends. I was expecting our first Grandchild, my daughter was at A&M and I was active with aggie moms. I just did'nt have time to spend curled in a ball wraped with a heating pad and eating advil like M&M's without any real relief. Depressed was an understatement.. the first visit to the clinic Dr. Theesfeld told me that he was there to help take control back over my life by controlling the pain, depression and insomnia. I thought Great now I'll just be a zombie but that never happened, each month when I returned he ask what helped, what did'nt work and it took several times of medication changes until suddenly although not completely pain free I was able to manage it and return to the things I loved. This sounds overly dramatic but at that time I felt he saved my life. And all he ask in return is that you follow the rules! NOT his rules but the LAW related to controlled medications. So for those of you that want to piss and moan obviously felt the rules did not apply to you and the Dr held you accountable. I say Thank-you to him everytime that I am hurting because thanks to his care I have tools(Meds) to ease my pain. I hope he reads this and it eases his pain that I feel your unwarranted mean words are bound to have caused him. I will keep my appt this Tuesday knowing that I stood up for him even if he never knows that I did!
When I came to Dr. Theesfeld five plus years ago I was at the end of my rope. My current doctor was moving away and I felt like I had nowhere to turn. The life I was living was filled with endless days of miserable pain and depression. I knew I had came to the right doctor when my first meeting with Dr. Theesfeld lasted over an hour. We talked and talked and he had the most caring attitude of any physican I had ever met. Over time he has developed a health plan for me that has not only given me back my life but I even have some pain-free days. I am able to play with my grandkids which means the world to me. Dr. Theesfeld has always been a very caring individual who has my best interest in mind. I know in my heart that he cares about me and the quality of life I am living. All he has ever asked of me is to follow the plan he sets forth and to give him feedback on the results. It makes me sad to see such a good person be attacked by people for things that I have personally never seen or experienced in the time I have been a patient. I wish Doc, Dana and the rest of the staff all my best. God be with you!!
I to have been seen by Dr. Theesfeld for a long time. I was at the end of my rope when I first came to him. After he took over an hour to talk to me on the initial visit I knew he was the person that could and would help me. It was a long road but Dr. Theesfeld and Dana spent a lot of time and effort in finding a treatment that would help me improve my quality of life. They have been patient and understanding with me throughout my treatment. These folks saved my life!! I know this is dramatic but it's true. In all my years of back problems I have never met a more caring group of people like Dr. Theesfeld and his staff. I read these other post with much skepticism and can't help but wonder what their true motives are. I wish Doc, Dana and the rest of the staff all the best. Please just know that there are us out here who really appreciate your time and effort and thank God your there!!

Dr Theesfeld is an outstanding doctor. If he could only use his calming voice it would make it easier going through treatments. Threats don't work as he knows as well as we know that we need him. He's a pain management doctor and if he would eliminate some of the pain without inflicting more pain then he would be wonderful. A cool calm voice, no threats during treatment, and listen to the patient as the patient can tell him more how bad the pain is would make him the very best doctor in the nation. Less pain duriing the treatments, a calm voice will ease a patients pain more than anything else any doctor could do. I wish he could stay as calm and sweet as I know he can be,
I have read all the above posts and I see truth in all of them. Some of the good and the bad. As far as seeing people who are only well off, well that is just B.S. I saw him refund money to new patient's on numerous occasions when they were self pay and had no insurance and he would come up with the cheapest medication regimen that would help them and they could afford. If there is anything I can say about Dr. Theesfeld it is that he is a very generous person. Unfortunately, he truly does not know how to treat people with respect and he is a very self serving person. As far as "doctoring" drug tests, that is absolutely untrue and when I worked there, we absolutely were certified to do those drug screens. We tested them there in the office and then sent them to an outside lab immediately for confirmation. If you truly think we had the time to stop and "doctor" the drug screens, well you must not have been in the same office I was, because we worked our A** off, sometimes without even getting a lunch. I think he can be a very caring man and he does for the most part treat his patient's that "FOLLOW THE RULES" with kindness and respect. In the same breath though, I must say that there were a few unethical things that went on as well. For example, charging for procedures that weren't done and changing nurse's notes to suit him without our permission. Let it also be said that I worked there for way longer than 3 months and I loved my coworkers and my patients (That's why I stayed so long.) But I am virtually stress free since having left there, and I wouldn't go back for any amount of money.
I also was an employee. I saw the good and the bad in him. I saw the legal and illegal that he did. The ethical and unethical things that went on. The drug tests? How long is a drug test good for when they have sat on a counter or in the refrigerator (with your drinks and snacks) for several days? I have seen drug tests returned from the lab and be negative for what he dismissed the patient for and the patient never called or apologized to for the mistake. I also agree with the above post. He is a very self serving person and does not know how to treat others with the same respect he expects from them. It's his office and he will do what he wants in his office, no one is going to tell him how it should be done even if he knew it was wrong. But, I also saw him return money to those that couldn’t pay. Then he would turn around and charge someone else for something he didn’t even do to them. That is how he would justify the refund. I have seen him change patient charts using our passwords to make the patient look bad and not him. I have seen patients that have been harmed in his office and when they complained, he released them and changed the chart notes. Most of this is because he does not have certified employees. He does not have a certified x-ray tech, and not all of his nurses are nurses. They are trained by him to assist in clinic and procedures but trained only by him. Not a credited college or certification program. Ask for licenses or certifications the next time you go in. You might be surprised. And remember, they are in charge of your health, it is illegal for some of them to perform the duties that they do. Such as, push meds. Think about that the next time someone is adding meds to your IV.
I too worked for the good doctor for far more years than most, and as it says in the above post, it was my love for the patients and staff that kept me there for all those years.

o.O WOW...Some Doctor. He makes "HOUSE" look like a Saint. :-P That's HORRIBLE!
