my right ear has been having a pounding heartbeat in it. doesn't hurt and it doesn't happen all the time. i am also trying to get pregnant. so my question would be could this be one of the symtoms of pregnancy?

It is not a symptom I have ever heard of
;-) Just looking up whooshing ears ~ and wondered if you have been lucky getting pregnant yet! ~ Don't think anyone took you seriously with your ear, but I once used belladonna (herbal remedy) for a middle ear infection, was great & much better alternative to the mixture my Dr wanted to prescribe.

that is the silliest thing I've ever heard in my life! hearing a heartbeat in your ears IS NOT a symptom of pregnancy. Good luck to you though
What you are hearing in your ear is your own pulse. It can happen if you have poor circulation.
I remeber the same thing thing happening to me when I was about 10 years old. I"m 20 now and pregant, with that same pulsating sound, which for me, mean that I'm getting an ear infection again like I did 10 years ago, she gave me amoxiciillian and told me to cough..alot.
