Ever since I was around 15 i've shaved my pubic area every few months and had no problems. I always shaved down the way but I hate the stubbly feel it gave me and never gave a smooth, clean feel. So i started shaving up the way (I know, i know WRONG thing to do!) and i didn't have any problems for a while but just recently i'm experiencing red pimply bumps that started off in the centre and are now spreading outwards. This is both extremely annoying for me and my boyfriend. Neither of us have had previous sexual partners so there is no chance of an STI. Obviously, i'm hoping this will clear up in a couple of days but I don't want this to keep happening, plus shaving is such a hassle and i'm having to do it almost everyday (another reason for the red rash pimple things?)
I've waxed before but it only worked when I got it done professionally and i can't afford to constantly get it professionally done. I've also tried some hair removal creams (Nads & Veet) but neither work that well and always leave me with stubble and hair grows back just as fast as shaving does. So, help would be appreciated!

The red bumps you are getting after you shave are known as Razor Bumps. They aren't an STD, they come when you shave the tip of a hair follicle, causing a sharp point that irritates your skin.
