wow, my bg levels are coming down nicely today... I don't know what i am doing but I am happy about it! i woke up with a 138 blood glucose but it is 98 right now before lunch. I thnink I will do what I am doing every day and see if that is the way I can get my sugars to come down. I did a 20 minute workout this morning to a tape I bought at the Goodwill over the weekend.
That is great that your blood glucose levels are doing good for you! Exercise definitely helps with that because it uses up any excess glucose that is floating around in your blood that leads to hyperglycemia. I know that fasting blood sugars are hard to bring down at times. Losing additional weight seemed to help me with controlling those much better because the diet and exercise wasn't doing it for me. I am still losing weight so I can avoid having to take any medication for my diabetes.
I am struggling with my blood sugars all the time. I eat like I am suppost to but it doesn't do it. I have trouble walking because of my weight and my knees give out on me a lot. I would like to exercise but I cant' when I have trouble even getting up. I do not know what to do to get my exercise in. I can't get on an exercise bike to ride it and i am too embarrassed to go to the swimming pool at the local community center. So I feel like I can't do anything for exercise at all. I try to keep my meals at the right carb count that my doctor suggests. I do overeat other foods though like meat, beef jerky, egg salad, that type of stuff. I get so hungry though and I figure since I am not eating extra carbs, I should be ok eating more protein and fatty types of food. I eat mostly at night. Is there any advice anyone can give me?
