I have had these for like 20 years. I kindof thought they were from not only being overweight but also from birthcontrol hormones...I didnt Always have them..they started in my 20's I think. I typically pop them when they are really tiny it is like a hard pimple with a dry white cap..those go away fast. but in the last 2 days I messed with one that wouldnt pop. I bruised my entire thigh...could barely walk and it got infected it was the size of a tennis ball or bigger..had to go to urgicare and they lanced it. warm baths antibiotics pain meds and lots of blood draining. I was in so much pain.I couldnt sit couldnt walk...don't do what I did...don't keep squeezing...I learned my lesson. mine are exactly the same as everyone else I read..I do wish there was something to stop them but I have kind of accepted that I get them...also I am 43 and still get deep acne on my face every few weeks or so..comes and goes...I also get the pustules of infection under my bra area underwear line and public area...its kinda scary because I worry I am more susceptible to staph which can be very dangerous even though it is prevelant everywhere. good luck to everybody and I am glad to know I am not the only one suffering with this..

Apparently, we are not alone... the symptoms are the same and so are the locations. I had a bad outbreak of MRSA on the center of my back. It was full of a very stinky yellow-green puss and blood. Once you get MRSA, you have it for life. You should not donate blood and you should let the hospital know if you have to stay overnight or longer( It could get you a private room). The ones I get more frequently on the inner left thigh are deep red blood only. Both are very sensitive to the touch. I always clean the toilet seat with disinfectant after use. I don't want to spread it to anyone else. I also have a cushion I sit on in case it ruptures. I place a bandage on it and when I use my Keurig Coffee maker, I place the coffee grinds into a sheet of rolled paper towel and apply to the boil. I get a lot of relief and it makes it easier for it to rupture on its own. I have gotten some good ideas from this blog and I will be asking my doctor for antibiotics and using a medicated soap for showering. Like most of us the boils appear in the same place (inner left thigh), so I am going to apply anti-bacterial ointment to that area for awhile and see if it helps... check back for future updates as I am saving this website in my Favorites Folder.

Honestly I'm so embrassed, and thought I was alone in getting them, some have blood some have puss it's so gross I just had one I could feel the liquid inside of it but it refused to pop, so I peeled the top layer of skin away (bad idea I know) and squeezed again and blood went everywhere I felt like I was in a horror movie for a second. I tried to stop the bleeding but it still felt swollen so I gave a light squeeze andore blood shot out. Now it's just super tender but the swelling went down. These things suck whatever they are

Go to the doctor, I've been fighting this for a long time it's MRSA and it can get into your bloodstream and kill you. It's not something to play around with. I've been taking meds for this for about one year now thought i was in the clear and just got another one, back on the meds again. You don't want a bunch of scars , go to the doctor
