I toonhve had these cysts and had surgery on each side to stop from getting them again. Now I have this other thing that seems similar to what others are describing, it’s different and not as pinful. More of a growth then a cyst under the skin.

I too have this. I actually got it from working out but the problem is my damn underwear. I wore cotton boxer briefs, worst for this. Do not wear cotton underwear. You must wear the anti chaffing or performance underwear that is long enough to protect the area from running against skin. This works.

Hi guys, I've seen quite a few posts with this and thought I'd share my condition, and may help some of you.

So It started when I was about 15 - I started getting this big boils in my groin, inner thigh, under the butt and I just ignored it, carried on with my life and was too embarrassed to tell anyone. I told my mum and it turned out she had the same condition - I turned about 21 I'd say and i now started to get them more but now in places like my armpits, on my left and right side and on my pubic region.

About 6 months ago I went to the doctors about this, at this point it must have been the 6th time and they were not identifying it properly. I told them my mum had 'Hidradenitis suppurativa' and they finally found out I had it too.

Unfortunately there is no cure, and this will be a problem for all of your life - They do put you on 'oxytetracycline' which completely cleared them up and is what my mother is on - But for me the side affects were not very nice and would cause nausea and chest pains - but my mum is fine with them!

I hope I have helped some of you - if your doctor is finding out what is it, SUGGEST THIS. Not many people have or know about this condition.

Got them as well, i actually have them eveyday on both size on my inmer thighs. The biggest i ever had blew up in my hand a few moments ago and that’s why i am here. It’s inside my leg not on the surface and felt a bit smaller than a golf ball, when it popped it left me standing there over a puddle of blood. When i squeeze on it blood comes out like a spray, its f*****g disgusting... this being said, the only time it stopped was when i jad lost 50 pounds amd hadna lot less rubbing of my thighs. Sadly i gained it back and more and now these gross F-ers are back with a vengeance...

It's most likely a staph infection. I started getting these when i was a teenager as well. Go see the doctor, they'll help you and teach you how to take care of these little annoyances :)

Spot on. Hidradenitis supparativa is a skin condition that people are born with that causes severe recurring boil like abcesses wich is more common amongst women than men but it is commonly found in the groin in the buttocks area the inner thigh/groin and under the arms. Its a build up of bacteria around the hair follicles wich results in severe pressure on the skin where the abcess forms. They are extremely dangerous and if they havent cleared up within 7 days of taking antibiotics you should attend your local emergency department. They can cause septicemia aka blood poisining and could require immediate generel aneasthetic surgery to have it lanced and all infection drained. But you will require these wounds to be packed by nurses for between 2 and 6 weeks. Ive had 11 operated on as they were close to bursting. If you feel severe pain or burning and the lump is bigger than a 50pence coin phone an ambulance or get to a+e sharpish.

It's all Hidradenitis Suppurativa. I would say 99% of the people that posted have HS. It's not just a skin condition, it is an autoimmune condition. Go to fb groups for Hidradenitis Suppurativa and you'll find thousands of others like you.

Thank you all for sharing this information. I feel like this finally explains everything I've dealt with as far as the boils and pain. I can finally go to my doctor's and ask for the right treatment. I'm so tired of the pain and the scarring and the embarrassment.

MRSA never goes away I have it in my face I get huge zits or blood filled pockets around my eye brows and occasionally my chin I've only known its MRSA for a tear but if you take a pin needle and poke the hard spot around the hard spot gently dont actually put tears across it or you will damage your skin. But poke till you feel a little pop 4-5 spots let the blood ooze out and then put triple antibacterial cream on it or PETRO-CARBO FIRST AID SALVE from Watkins on it you will have to poke it at least two days in a row and put the later on and continue to put the later on till it's gone. This will also help your skin heal faster and draw out the remaining substance that is causing the infection. I handled my MRSA for two year like this b4 knowing what It was and if done right your bump will be gone within a week and healed just dry old skin left :)

In some cases, these infections are caused by the laundry. Some washing machines may not flush out waste water sufficiently or the washing temperature is not high enough to get rid of bacteria in clothing. I have had staph infections in the past, on my back and arm, as a result of a washing machine that may not have been installed well in combination with washing at low temperatures. I currently have one of those big bumps described here. My launderette recently installed new washing machines. Since then, my "clean" laundry has had the same unpleasant smell that my laundry had when I had staph infections on my skin before.

So, wash your clothes at 60 degrees C, or higher. There is scientific literature on this.
