Now, this hasn't happened for quite a while, mostly because I didn't do it twice, and mostly because I'm in better shape now.
But I have a quick question hopefully someone could shine a light on for me.
I was about 17 years old and really tired of being skinny. I though to myself one day, "Hey, why don't I get off my ass".
So, I decided to go for a run. I swear I ran like 5 miles. Remember, this was my first time running in my LIFE; other than childish running and playing of course. But when I got home I was so tired and so exhausted I swear my eyes went black and I couldn't see it was all dark and blurry. I laid down and passed the heck out immediately on the couch. Woke up the next day feeling fine and didn't have any symptoms of the previous night. In fact, I felt better.
Any chance there was something wrong when I blacked out? I hear stuff like that happens in like mini-strokes... But I was only like 17.. Plus, I'm 19 now and can run just fine (not 5 miles but close).
If anyone could just ease my mind on this issue that would be great. Should I go get a CT scan? lol
Thanks!

Hi there, I don't think that you have anything to be concerned about. It happens sometimes that when you exercise that you can black out, but I doubt it's a stroke, especially at your age. Do you think that you need a CT scan? I think you should be okay. Let me know what you decide, okay?
Yeah, I figured as much. I just need closer in my mind. I've never heard of anyone blacking out after really pushing it when exercising. . . But I didn't look into it too much. I felt fine.
I'm sure I don't need a CT scan. ha
Thanks for the info!

YOu never have?? My goodness, it happens all the time. If you watch TV shows like The Biggest Loser, those people pass out frequently while working out. It's just a headrush and a blood pressure issue. I hope that this helps!
I have now ! Ha! Thanks!
Take it seriously. Arrythmias are common with athletes. Have an ECG to clear out any pathologic cause.
