As of late, I have a new boyfriend, and we have protected sex fairly regularly (every two-three days) when I am not on my period. I am currently taking TriCyclen Lo birth control pills, but have only been on them for two months. (Currently starting my third month.)
More often than not, when we have sex, I end up bleeding during the act. It's bright red, and is starting to freak me out a little bit.
Is this due to the new pills I am on, my new partner, or is it something else? I'm just looking for insight; if anyone can help, that would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi there, when you have sex, bleeding can take place sometimes but it's usually in response to an injury that you sustain during sex. Are you using lubricant? That would help reduce the incidence of tearing. What do you think?
Well, the condoms we're using are lubricated, but other than that, we aren't using any lubricant. I am experiencing no pain what so ever, so I don't think it's tearing. I visited the doctor today, and he said that if it were tearing, there would most likely be pain.
The lubricant on a condom usually isn't enough. I think that would help anyway...it is possible that the tears are very small? You could try experimenting with a bit of lube and see how that works.
