So I've had painless, bleeding hemroids for quite some time now, and I finally went to the Docs this summer and he did, in fact, confirm that I have several internal hemroids. I am to schedule a colonoscopy as a precautionary procedure, but haven't gotten around to that yet. I am 34 by the way.

Anyway, I got a bit freaked out the other night when my first pass after a BM had a nice-sized bloody globby looking think on the toilet paper (sorry for being so gross). I have seen them before a few times, but for some reason, this one really freaked me out. So, I called the on-call doctor the next day and he explained that this is normal for thrombosed hemroids - I guess the BM opens the hemroid, forcing the clot out. That put my mind at ease a bit; being a hypocondriac I went to the web and immediatly thought the worst.... advanced Colon cancer or some other life-threatening problem.

I was just curios if anyone else ever experienced this. And, I am considering a hermorrhoidectomy to stop the bleeding once and for all, so reading about experiences has been helpful. Thank in advance for any advice!
