Sounds like me... I too had an Ultrasound and nothing. The swellings are in between the size of a quarter and half dollar. I even had one doctor tell me it comes with age.
Had a cortisone shot and not too much after lymph node sweelled up on one side of neck above collar back of neck eyes were also blurry next day for a day or so ,I am thinkinking no more cortisone shots for me
I have the same problem with the puffy gel packs above my collarbone too. Did you ever get any answers bc my doctor can't? So embarrassing!
My left clavicle swelling has been analysed twice and I get the result of having a lipoma. It cannot be explained why the size changes. I feel it caused pressure on my throat and aorta. I also had a swelling of my palate which seems alleviated by eliminating lactose from my diet and this also seems to reduce my "lipoma".
So, no one else here has been diagnosed with Madelung's disease like I have?
Not me, I had CT scan and nothing was found. I know I developed the swelling when I was diagnosed with the autoimmune Hashimoto's thyroiditis. For me, I am almost sure the swelling it's relating to my autoimmune issues, my lymphatic system went out of control.
Wow. 40 some pages of information. A lot to go through. Glad I found this thread. I am less freaked out now after a few hours of reading.
My question is this: Anyone in my category after reading further?
Past: Last year, during one of my monthly massages, I had some extra work done on my shoulders and shoulder blades from stress/posture. Immediately following the massage, I got a sudden gel swelling just above my left clavicle (the side she primarily worked on). It disappeared in a few days and was forgotten. During my last annual visit to my Doc, she said all the same I see in this thread’s information, probably just a flare up of the Lymph, nothing to worry about. No other symptoms described in this thread at all.
Recently: This past week, I have noticed the left side just above clavicle puffing up a bit again. Soft liquid pad. Worse in the morning after sleep. When I get up and move around and do my thing during the day it seems to subside some. Still just noticeably bigger on the left side. Right side seems totally normal, I've always had some size there from muscular build 'back in the day.' I am not fighting any illness or any other health issue. The recent flare up also comes with no other symptoms whatsoever.
History: Stress has been elevated since June 2016, left employment, started my own business. Posture-wise I've been known to favor leaning on left leg (same side) and I work many hours at a stand-up computer workstation. Vitamin-wise, I have been deficient in B in the past and have been ignoring that over the past year. I have been diagnosed with anxiety since about 2000 as well, but it's well under control taking medication only as needed in the form of a low dose Xanax that gets taken maybe once every 2-3 weeks when I feel uneasy or having a panic attack. A couple years ago, I underwent bowel resection of the small and large intestine, about 3 inches each stemming from a couple bouts of diverticulitis. Recovery is full and complete, no issues. All annual tests from blood to EKG, cholesterol, stool/colonoscopy, etc. come out better than expected for someone of my age with my couple bad habits.
Personal: 54 years old, male, have always been in great health with annual visits. Smoker, been trying to quit for the past month off and on and frustrated about that. Drinker, defined as heavy, regular beer drinker. No hard liquor or binging. After reading all this information today I went in and weighed myself. I noticed while I have been 150-160 lbs. since my late teens, today I am at 165.8 lbs. which is still at a BMI of about 24%, but obviously more weight than expected.
Back to my original question – anyone else in the same boat?
Intention: I notice many comments don’t get followed up on, I intend to follow up with comments replied to this original post. Here’s my plan: 1) Take B-complex I used to take every day like I used to. 2) Make appointment with my Doc to discuss along with information from various posts from this thread. 3) Make an appointment with my Chiropractor to see if a good straightening might help. I’ll report back with every update as I go. Any other advice?
Thank you.

Hi Folks, Update: Took BComplex hard pill supplement and B12 Gummy last night and this morning. Reduction in size of the swelling and I felt better in the sense of energy and vigor.
That's it for now... - Thanks!

What was the name of the website?
I get them every time I get an upper respiratory infection. Urgent care Dr said its swollen lymph nodes, but primary & Nurse practitioner said its fat pads. However, they go away after I get better. Also, when I have them, if I press on them, fluid/mucous comes up from my throat. I highly doubt it has anything to do with fat.
Another Update: - The B12 and B Complex seem to diminish the swelling but left side is still slightly larger than right. My left side usually contains all my tension for some reason so today I am going to Chiro to work on left shoulder. Regular Dr. Appointment for annual check up on Wednesday, I'll will be asking about it there as well.
Sorry, wasn't logged in this is a continuation of my overall post and updates :)
I have alot of the same issues I have just in the last six months been having severe anxiety and I grind my teeth badly. Plus I had half my thyroid removed 2 years ago.
Stagnant lymph can be from not moving enough , cancer and inflammation.
Had mine 6 years and nothing on CT.
Best exercise is a rebounder no need to jump just slight bounce.

My doctor did a thin needle aspiration in his office. It caused the fluid to drain into my lungs (thoracentisis pulled 900 ml of milky fluid) and into my right breast. Was in hospital for almost a week following the aspiration.
