Have you found any relief?
Reply
I have been having similar issues for the past 5 weeks. They all started with a very very stressful week where I found out I have a complex ovarian cyst. While waiting for tests for that, I began to have major stomach discomfort in the upper abdominal region to right under the sternum. It feels like someone punched me in the stomach although eating often helps that go away for an hour or two. I now have pain in my chest cavity, lower ribs on both sides, and mid-back that won't go away. I've been in to theDr twice now and they put me on an acid blocker to see if it is acid reflux and possibly a stomach ulcer. It's scaring me a lot to have this chest cavity and lower rib cage pain and stomach discomfort. If this doesn't go away I will see a GI Dr next... anyone get any answers yet?

I have severe pain starting at the chestbone and it shoots straight into my back. I have had a upper GI, found a small hiatel hernia. Had a colonoscopy twice, found nothing. Had another upper GI to check my pancreas. Had a CT Scan found an enlarged liver and gall bladder, Doc says nothing to worry about. The Doctors can't figure it out. Today I am having severe pain. I want to go to the hospital but I don't want to go through all the same test to tell me nothing is wrong. I had chest X-rays, nothing. I am on meds for ulcers and acid reflux. I have been on Ibuprofen for 4 years or more.

I am practically in tears reading through these! I have been in such agony almost daily for 7 months now. It's getting worse. When my pain gets severe, it initiates a stress response, which makes me think I'm having a heart attack, 8 trips to ER, tomm makes my 6th ct scan, I've had my gallbladder removed (which was so necrotic it was less than the size of a quarter), I've had a endoscopy (which came back questionable because of course, they labeled my samples wrong (proximal and distal samples were mixed up supposedly), and cells were present that should not have been, but NOTHING has been said about it). When the pain is severe, my left arm goes mostly numb. It feels like a ball of acid between my shoulder blades. I are muscle relaxers, 800 mg ibuprofen, pain meds, a heart pill, and more just to get through the days. Yes, I've had ibs for years and years, it's a cake walk. Yes, I've had gerd for years and years, the meds for it don't do c**p, and it's a cake walk in comparison. Mine started after the birth of my daughter (2nd child), and I've read through some comments about spine problems causing this. I had a horrible epidural. I also have some black mold issues in our rental I'm wondering about...I keep saying every since we've moved in to this house, it's making us sick. Now I'm wondering if this isn't true. This is messing with my heart too. I went into pvcs for 4 days straight and went to ER only to have them say, "Yeah, your hearts acting up. Oh well." They did nothing to help me. I can't live like this.

I am experiencing the same thing. I can feel something between my shoulder blades inside my body that radiates straight through to the area
between the center of my breasts.

It is intermittent and scares me. I have always been very healthy. I feel like I have a tumor in between my shoulder blades or something!!!

I am going to see a specialist on this upcoming Monday. I hope it is nothing.
I will report the findings afterwards. I am getting a sonogram & blood work done.

I am baffled!!! :0(

I felt this and thought I was having a heart attack and got cold sweat from fear but that didn't help bc cold sweat is a heart attack symptom. A friend thinks its bronchitis and I am considering this but what you have sounds like costochonditrits which usually occurs in adolescents and is 100% harmless (but very annoying and painful!) hope this helps.

P.S. Best advice I can give is to see your doctor about it and if they say they don't know what it is but your worried about it then get a new doctor!

I had been having severe pain between my breasts that would radiate through to my back for approximately 20 years. But because it would come and go I dismissed it as possibly REALLY bad acid re-flux because that was the diagnosis i would get when asking a walk-in doctor or pharmacist. Each attack would last anywhere from a few hours to about a day but the last time I experienced it, it lasted 4 days and still going strong so I finally decided to go to the hospital emergency room. I was diagnosed after about 12 hrs with having Gall Bladder attacks!! After IV antibiotics and pain meds I was given a choice of emergency Gall Bladder removal surgery or out patient Surgery in about 3 weeks. I didnèt realize it was going to be 3 weeks till the out patient surgery or i would have picked the emergency procedure. So long story short... pain between breasts that you feel right through to your back get it checked it could be your Gall Bladder or Pancreatitis! Everything has been great since the surgery! Good Luck!!

I been going through the same thing for about 2 months now, i had really bad constipation because i wasnt eating enough and when i take laxative i have really bad diarrhea, I have really bad Stomach pain back pain and side pains, Axid reflux, pain in my upper chest and neck and i been in and out of the doctor office getting no help at all and i finally went to the woman clinic and they did a pelvic exam and a urine test. During the pelvic exam, my health care provider takes swabs from the cervix and/or vagina to test for chlamydia and gonorrhea. everything came back clear but i am still having really bad stomach pains and headaches nausea lost of appetite and mucus in the throat and dry mouth. I go back for a utra sound next week? Could it be that i have a cysts as well? They put me on birth control does they help?
