I have recently been introducted to the world of intercourse. My boyfriend has wanted me to get ont the pill since we have been having sex. But my question is........When I get on birth control can he not wear a condom and me not get pregnant?

Many people have been telling me a whole bunch of things about this issue, i just want to get this clarified.

i have been taking BC for over 4 years but my boyfriend and me have done it when i have forgotten to take the pill or im on the sugar pill. my periods are only 1 day and i keep having syptoms that say i am pregnant. we are both very nervous, i have been getting something that seems like morning sickness and im scared. i dont think its possible to get pregnant on BC but im not sure. i take it everyday. i have blood spotting through out the month and im afraid to take a test and see that i am pregnant. yet part of me wants a baby, but i know there is no way that i can take care of it.

my boobs have been tender and ive gone up a cup size in just one month! and my back and stomach have been killing me ive been very nauseated. all the signs say im pregnant.

I have been on birth control for about a year. i take it everyday before i go to bed. and i get my periods on time every month. however i recently have been feeling sick to my stomach and i've noticed some weight gain, which is odd for me. i have unprotected sex with my boyfriend regularly. Is there any chance that i could be pregnant?

I have been on the pill for almost a year now and have unprotected sex regularly and have not gotten pregnant. For all of you out there looking for facts here are some.
1. the pill takes AT LEAST one month before it becomes fully effective.
2. the pill is NOT 100%, especially if you miss doses or take them at different times each day.
3. there are side effects that cause weight gain, breast tenderness, and nausea.
4. the pill makes your body believe you are pregnant, that is why some people have these side effects. If you change the type of pill you are on these things can easily be cleared up.
5. the pill does NOT protect you from STD's.

Baseline is if you want to extremely cautious always use another form of birth control with the pill (i.e. condom, femcap, diaphragm, FAM's, spermicide)

Also it is best to be aware of when you are most likely to become pregnant, which is the second week into your pill pack. Be extra cautious on theses days.

Hope this helps.

It is possible to have unprotected sex and not get pregnant. Just be wary during the days of ovulation. And when in doubt use a condom. It's not worth the risk.

Most birth control begins working a week after you begin taking it so it should be fine!

I don't know why everyone thinks if you get your period you are not pregnant, I know many people who had their period for 7 days at the same time every month and realized later down the road they were gaining weight and they were pregnant! It's rare but it definatly happens!

I had to quit taking my birth control for about a month. In that time I had unprotected sex but he pulled out. I just had my period because of my lack of birth control (I normally never have a period) but can I still be pregnant?

the only way its impossible is if she physically cant have a child...bc is only 99% effectice and if u take the "sugar" pills then the first week of every month is possible to fertilize...as far as a messed up period goes, that is a common side-effect of bc and once her body adapts to it that will stop,if not consult the dr...and if you are really worried about it just buy a pregnancy test

in order for the pill to actually work right, you have to take the pill within 15 minutes of the same time each day for example, if you take the pill at 7am, you can only take it between 6:53 and 7:07 or between 7:00 and 7:15 or something along those lines

I'm kinda going thru the same exact thing I forgot to take my bc pill one day so i took it as soon as i remembered the next day. Me and my boyfriend has been having unprotected sex since i started bc 3 months ago. My periods were still coming on regularly just lighter. But this month i havent gotten one yet nd im on the third of the last four in the pack. Idk what to do i pray im not pregnant. I havent had any signs of pregnancy except for the missed period.
