I'm trainign for IM Florida, but with my new job, its' been tough to get my workouts in because the only time i have free is in the afternoon. ANyway i have been keepign one thing though, i havn't missed a long run or ride.

You think i can get away with it if i never miss a long run or ride...and maybe miss some shorter stuff in the middle of the week? By all accounts my endurance is the most important part...the shorter stuff is just for consistency and speed.

Whaddya think?
With a couple resident Ironmen, they could probably hit this for you, but just my thought is you likely don't want to miss anything. Just from marathon lessons learned, cutting anything out of the training comes back to bite you in the butt.

I agree with jrjo, I think cutting out too much of anything is going to hurt you on race day, but at least you're getting in the necessary long run/rides.
