Hi Blessed... I am so Happy for you an that all's well.... I am 36 and three healthy kids of 17, 13 & 5. last December i found my self pregnant in my tube while i was on a contraceptive and having my cycle. As i was unaware of my pregnancy and feeling very sick a with a lot of pain, I just did a home pregnancy test and one day and boy was I surprised. We did an ultra sound to see if all was ok and they told us that i was 9 weeks pregnant and an almost ruptured tube. I was rushed into emergency surgery and as the doctors had said that they don't ensure that it wont take place again, we agreed to having the tube removed too. I can't help but regret having my other tube removed, but my husband says he can't take a risk. But feel empty and lost at times and find my self hoping every month that I would miss a period . i keep checking sites for confirmations of ladies who have conceived without tubes so that i too can have some hope......
Hi Blessed, thanks for posting your story. You're giving the rest of us some hope. I too had lost my right ovaries and left tube and I'm feeling like a loser. Happy to hear a success story. Please keep us posted on your little miracle. God bless you.
congratulations to you x do the doctors know how this happened? only logical answer is that the egg somehow makes its way into the uterous where it then fertilized with awaiting sperm resulting in a (in·tra·u·ter·ine) pregnancy.
I am a 43 old that had BOTH tubes removed this year due to a ectopic pregnancy. I had an ectoptic pregnancy 2 years ago and was devastated when this happened to me twice. I been real tired and moody with no period for months since Feb. My removals was in May right after Mother's Day.....I think I will see my OBGYN next week...
god is the creator and he will make it so. i was praying and dd u have the baby. i have no tubes and beleiving God
for a baby and he Will
Hello ladies I am also concern to know if it is true that you can get pregnant with out Fallopian tubes. Both of my tubes were removed in 2011. I started an IVF treatment with out any results. But right now I am 11 days late when my periods are like a clock. I feel my belly hard when I cross my legs, I feel tired and a little moody. But I am afraid of getting my hopes up because this will be my first child in my 40 years(mine you I just turn 40, 3 days ago) can some one please provide me with living proof that it is possible to get pregnant with out both fallopian tubes?
Hi Guest,
You can get pregnant without fallopian tubes BUT as you found, in most cases not naturally. You had IVF to implant a fertilized embryo into your uterus, basically bypassing the fallopian tubes.
There are documented cases were women that have had their tubes "tied" have had successful pregnancies NATURALLY. Sometimes the tube does reopen, usually with severe scarring. There are also MANY documented cases where they have had ECTOPIC pregnancies and lost the baby.
Getting pregnant is not the issue. It's should be can you get pregnant naturally after a tubal ligation or having your tubes removed. The answer to that is "UNLIKELY" but not impossible.
I had to have my tubes completely removed due to scarring from MANY abdominal surgeries. Just before that I had one of my ovaries removed due to a torsion. I was told then that I could never get pregnant, and that with all my health problems I would not be able to do IVF. Then, just recently a doctor mentioned there is the possibility that I could get pregnant. I have looked after, tutored, and babysat, and been a nanny to many kids, starting at a very young age. I have always wanted them and even though my surgeries happened 11 years ago, it still gets to me sometimes. I would love to know if there is an actual possibility for a miracle, natural pregnancy.
Hi Guest,
A natural pregnancy is very unlikely, without the tubes. But, check with a fertility specialist about IVF. Technology has changed greatly in the past few years. If you are healthy enough to carry a baby to term IVF may be an option.
Good luck.
