Hi, I'm a healthy 24 year old male who has recently entered into a serious relationship and me and my girlfriend are quite sexual adventurous and like to try different positions etc, but for me to climax I have to be in a position where I am lying down on top (missionary or lazy doggy etc). This isn't really a problem to me as I enjoy the intimacy of sex, but it frustrates my girlfriend as she wants me to be able to climax in other positions, such as when she is riding me etc.

I think that the main reason for this 'problem' is that since a young age (probably 10-12) to arouse myself I have always rubbed myself against something (i.e. my bed) and I have never been able to reach climax through normal masturbation. Could it be that due to this my body is used to a higher amount of friction to climax which I can't reach unless on top?

Also is there anyway I can train myself to be able to climax via normal masturbation and through other sexual positions where I may be standing or on my back? (such as only masturbating in these ways and not allowing myself my method?)

If anyone could give some insight into this that would be great.
Thanks.
Very normal situation. It's called Traumatic Masturbatory Syndrome (yes it's very real).

Goodluck.
