"Does nothing to your body", except alter the chemical composition of your brain, the driving force of the body. I smoke the herb and can say it can cause stomach cramps, for diff reasons depending on the person. Antacids or cutting back in smoking long term will usually help.

Everybody is different bud, just because you can't get addicted to weed, doesn't mean the guy next to you can't either. It all depends on the way your brain is structures

A friend of mine son is in the hospital now. He's been throwing up and can't keep anything down they said he has an ulcer and sores on his stomach. He's been smoking pot and the Dr.said they'll mix the pot with something and that's what's causing this. His stool is also black. I've never heard of this .Know what your smoking or try someone different. Sorry you're sick. Hope this helps.

You are totally wrong about parts of the brain not used. All parts of the brain are used. ALSO, the latest study links marijuana use to Alzheimer's Disease.

A 20 yr RN that specializes in intestinal issues. She says to forget all the medicine for indigestion and other stomach related issues. She told me about regular yellow mustard. Eat 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard at onset of indigestion. It works for me and I have been doing it for the past 6 months.

Wow, this is good to know. I too am I regular pot smoker and recently came back from the ER from throwing up blood from an apparent ulcer I developed. Prior to this I did too lose my appetite even when I was high. The stomach pains didn’t go away until isn’t hit the bowl but later on I’d pay for it. I am female and athletic. I’ve never had a medical experience like this but I’m sure I’ve abused the flower at times and feel that smoking did cause if not contribute to the ulcer. I am a female and have been athletic my whole life however with the loss of appetite from the ulcer it’s harder to enjoy those activities. I’ve also lost weight as a result (not in a good way). I’ve switched out my recreation habit with edibles and that seems to help. I of course had to switch up my diet to accommodate recovery. It super sucks. Please let us know how you fair in recovery and how you appetite is as the weeks go. Thank you!

Dave, It’s because you’re smoking on an empty stomach most likely. I’ve been having the same problem and my research concludes that if you smoke on an empty stomach you are teaching it to rely on it to eat basically and it can turn into a very bad habit!! I was in the ER in Jan. For severe stomach pain that persisted for 3 weeks. And I was smoking about an 8th every 2 weeks. Had an endoscopy done and they found a small ulcer in my stomach. Even tho it’s small, I felt like I was gonna die.. it hurt that bad plus severe anxiety, hot flashes, I prob took 4 baths a day. And I had lower back pains. And no energy.. I never let myself throw up but diarrhea was a constant thing and I didn’t eat for at least two weeks and got down to 98 lbs. and my normal weight is 110/115. I just had fluids for almost a month. I was doing the same thing.. smoking because i was so nauseous. It worked at first but eventually caused my stomach to feel like it had a dull burning ache immediately after smoking, So I stopped smoking completely and i went to a gastroenterologist and he put me on Protonix for 9 mos. I just recently picked up smoking again. Not knowing about the not smoking on an empty stomach yet.. and all my symptoms slowly started coming back. And my body started relying on it to eat. Luckily I know what my ulcer bothering me feels like.. so back to not smoking. Today is day 4. And I was finally able to eat today, I got a bunch of boost shakes I drink them when I feel too nauseous.. bananas are rly easy to eat, it helped my appetite come back slowly.. And bland foods work too. Cabbage is good for healing ulcers naturally I found out.. cranberry juice as well. Peppermint tea calms nausea. And chamomile tea can help with ulcer pains and discomfort if you wanna try the all natural tea. I truly believe that is what caused my ulcer. I hope you can find some relief, and hope anything I said can help!
