Correction about the before stuff. It was no coffee/caffeine or chocolate for 24 hours before and no food in the morning for three hours before the test. The water psrt was correct.

Well the echo test was fun. She hooked me up with a few sensors then had me lie on my side while she lubed up the wand and went to work scanning my chest looking at my heart working. Snapping still images and recording different sounds along with the heart beats. She scanned some other places on my chest and stomach. She stopped and said she needed more contrast and asked me if it was OK to inject some dye. Was I going to say no? She called in a nurse to get the line in. She gave up after poking around for a while in my arm. Then she said she had to call in the big guy to try. She wasn't kidding, he was like a line backer and wearing a Patriots do-rag. He went a bit lower on the arm on the wrist and got a good line in. She continued the test again and pushed in some dye a couple times while doing some of the imaging over again. Then I was outta there. It took about an hour. I got home about 4:00 pm.

After supper I was feeling pretty crappy and that lasted all night but I finally got to sleep. Can't help wondering if I had some reaction to the dye.

Strange thing, I felt really good this morning and my breathing has become nearly normal for the first time in over year. Probably can't blame that on the dye but it sure is welcome as my breathing was really getting bad. I had to climb a flight of stairs and walk down a corridor about 50 yards to the cardio lab yesterday and I was really panting when I got there. Today is a big improvement. Maybe I finally shook that virus I got a year ago.

Don't see the cardiologist until the end of August to find out the results.
