I am 32 and haven't been able to eat apples, pears, peaches, other fruits and some nuts for as long as I can remember. Like you, I recently had an apple anticipating I would need to pop a Benadryl soon thereafter but I never developed and symptoms. Then I had a pear, still no symptoms. I am curious to know, since it's been some time you posted, if you were able to continue eating apples in the spring and summer months when the pollen is higher. Has it returned at all? This would be such an amazing life change to be able to eat fruit.
Hi. I also have the same symptoms when eating apples, watermelons, dried fruits, tomatoes, avocados and many more raw fruits and veggies. I could thou eat them in the past about 5years ago without any problems buy because i have not recently eaten them and only cooked foods. There is no allergic reactions when it is cooked or fried though. Could it be that because i have not eaten them for such a long time? And and can i gradually start to eat them in small portions until my body is used to it again. My lips and throut dont swell just get verry itchy and after a while my while body start to itch for about 30min to an hour.
I am allergic to apples and the allergy has become much better. I got it 3 years ago and was diagnosed, but I can bear a few slices. Hope this helps.
