Yes, horseback riding, tampons, gymnastics, they can all break the hymen. But that doesn't mean the girl has lost her virginity. It just means that when time comes, it'll hurt less for her. (Since hymen will already be broken.) It isn't loosing virginity until a man has sex with her.

I'd say you can only lose your virginity by having sexual intercourse with an other person, male or female. To me, you cant lose your virginity by masturbating. I mean, who would say "I lost my virginity to a dildo" or "by myself" it doesnt reay make sense.
