I'm a 20 year old male, physically fit, been sexually active for probably 4 or 5 years now and lately (as in the past probably 3 weeks) I have not been able to keep an erection, or get a strong erection like I used to. I can still have an orgasm through masturbation, but my erection is not strong enough to have intercourse with.
I have smoked marijuana for probably about as long as I have been sexually active and never had a problem, had sex while high, and while sober with no problems, different partners and all. Lately, however due to stress with college I have been smoking nearly every day (or every other day) to help with my stress. I am beginning to think that it is keeping me from getting the erections I used to. Has anyone else had a similar problem? If so, don't just say "oh yeah same here", I'd prefer to know whether you quit and whether your symptoms got better or whether it just passed with a little time. Because if you have had this situation, you know it is quite embarrassing.
I have decided to quit smoking for a month to see if things improve, but i am still anxious to know what is going on. I can't make it to a doctor at this time either, so anyone with help... its greatly appreciated.

yes, definitely you can blame marijuana, especially if you were using it for a long time. nothing weird since a lot of people who are using a weed as an afrodisiac have experience with this thing. my boy had the same issue. he was so turned on when he started to use marijuana, but I knew it that sex can't be that good for a long time. suddenly, he started to feel that he is not interested in sex anymore and soon he was not able to have sex with me...I was blaming me, of course. but then I found some article where it says that marijuana is to blame. and it was. he left it, now he is much better but we still do have a problem.

Dude I haven't smoked any pot full stop now for about 6 weeks and I just came back from a weekend with my girlfriend and I couldn't even get an erection at all so I'm beginning to wonder if I should still be smoking the stuff!

I stopped smoking less and my problem only happens when I'm not high. But before I started smoking I was fine.

your not the only one. i had to quit smoking over a mnth ago and ive noticed recently i havent been able to get fully hard or even an erection when im with my g/f. when i used to smoke i never had a problem with it, i think it has to do with you brain becoming so used to doing it when ur high. i remember reading somewhere that when you do drugs over a longg period of time it makes your brAin work in different ways and all those nerves and little electric pusles that allow us to do certtain things may have been redirected so. theres alot that goes behind things, i would say the best thing to do is to consult a doctor which im going to be doing shortly if the problem persists.
