I’ve heard that celestone is very commonly used among the patients with aids. What’s its indication? Is it type of the treatment in aids? What is its generic name? Is it a kind of antiviral drug?
Celestone is corticosteroid drug. Its generic name is betamethasone. It is used in inflammations, arthritis, swelling, asthma and many other conditions. It’s not antivirotic at all. Corticosteroids are used in severe inflammations, when common drugs with fewer side effects are not effective enough. Patients with aids are always on polytherapy and this is just one of the options.
