Hello, I was chronically nauseas in my early twenties for two years and tried everything, before finally finding a chinese medicine doctor who did osteopathic work and it turned out a vertabrae in my neck was slightly askew, causing it to push on the vagus never, which was causing the nausea (so not a stomach issue, as most health care practitioners would guess). I would HIGHLY recommend finding a really good alternative health practitioner to help you, acupuncture, naturopath, get your neck adjusted by a very skilled chiropractor, rolfer, osteopath, feldenkris, massage therapist...if you'd like to talk more, you can reach me

My husband had nausea and vomiting that was getting so severe that it sent him to the ER twice. We went to a doctor who suggested to do the lemon test, which is to take one tablespoon of lemon juice (alone, not mixed in water) with each full meal (not snacks). Miraculously, it worked for my husband's nausea. The doctor then said to switch to "Betaine & Pepsin" (easily found supplement), because lemon would be too harsh over time. Take one capsule with breakfast, one with lunch, and one with dinner. If it doesn't work, increase to two (with each meal), and if that doesn't work, increase to three with each meal. One with each meal works for my husband. To me, it has been a miracle!

Stomach Acid
Individuals suffering with stomach and intestinal problems most frequently assume that heartburn, indigestion, gas, and reflux are caused by overproduction of stomach acid. This common misconception has been strongly re-enforced by our conventional medical profession, whose practitioners routinely prescribe stomach acid blocking medications at the slightest sign of stomach dysfunction, failing to properly diagnose the digestive problem by first monitoring the stomach's acid producing function, using scientific methods and neglecting to provide patients with common sense dietary recommendations.

The Symptoms of Over and Under-Production Are The Same
Strangely enough, the symptoms of stomach acid (hydrochloric acid, HCL) over-production and under production are virtually identical. It is therefore unwise to jump to conclusions regarding what's occurring in the stomach without actual testing.

Medical Misdiagnosis Is Very Common
The pharmaceutical firms with their considerable influence on the medical profession have, through advertising, incentives to doctors and various other forms of indoctrination, made it an almost reflex reaction on the part of most physicians, even many gastro-enterologists, to jump to the conclusion that a majority of gastric problems can be easily treated by the use of acid blocking medications. Because the American public over-consumes unhealthy food at an alarming rate, the routine use of acid blockers is highly profitable for pharmaceutical firms, provides instant relief for many sufferers, but can bring about long-term health problems for many misdiagnosed users.

Functions of Hydrochloric Acid
Hydrochloric acid serves many functions, the three most important are:
1. It is the primary digestive juice responsible for breaking down proteins, preparing them for assimilation.
2. It acts as a protective barrier, killing many potentially harmful micro-organisms in our food.
3. It acts as a venting mechanism for the build-up of excessive concentrations of hydrogen ions in our blood and interstitial fluids. In other words, we consume acid forming foods and / or engage in acid forming activity, the production of stomach acid uses up considerable amounts of the acid forming material (hydrogen ions) thereby assisting in the elimination of excessive tissue acidity. The stomach acid once combined with food is eventually neutralized further down the alimentary canal by alkaline pancreatic secretions.

I too have begun having chronic nausea with no weight loss. I've had numerous tests, all coming back okay.

Zopran didn't work, what did work was Phenegren suppositories! I've had my visits to the ER, urgent care and lots of Dr. visits.

Getting a CT scan of stomach next month with contrast. If they find nothing, I will try removing gluton and having my furnace checked as well.

Thanks for your advise.

I have had nausea for the past year and diarrhea every week since I was 16 I am now 37. I found that if I use essential oil peppermint and put a dot in my belly button it takes away the nausea for awhile sometimes I sniff it to.

Taking 6 small meals daily and use a tablet Erythrocyine 250mg 3 daily. It's an anti biotic which has a side effect of pusghing thr food in the stomach fwd. Also certain foods which are difficult to congest, i avoid. And after the 3 man meals half an hour of walking or cycling to help the stomach move the food downwards. Anne from Netherlands.

Hello sorry for your nausea. I myself have suffered with nausea for the past 2 years. Had the endoscopy test which came back normal. Had brain scan to be certain everything was normal . Been to the ear Doctor to verify that I had no inner ear infections and was hospitalized for a week because of the nauseous feeling . Unfortunately I still suffer with the nausea everyday, however when I was in the hospital they gave me a anxiety medication. I take Ativan for the nausea and it helps so much . I take 1mg. tablet once a day and I'm able to get through my day. I am so nauseous if I don't take it because there's days that I just wish I could feel normal and not be nauseous and I try not taking it and the nausea is horrific so for 2 yrs now I've been taking it. I pray one day I just wake up and the nausea will be gone. I do notice that certain things that I eat makes me feel worst than other things for ex. Sugar and sweets do not help at all. They make me feel worst or greasy and dairy foods so I try to avoid those foods . Hope this has been of some type of help to you .

Hi, guys, I had an awful chronic nausea for 2 yesrs too but thanks God I am back to normal life! I actually had some reason for this, but after some time it got mostly psychological, those panic attacks when you feel like throwing up, it all grew into emetophobia that made it worse. No doctor could help or give any advice. But after those two years I met a great doctor who helped me a lot. Turned out I had parasites like lamblias, and opisthorchiasis that test sometimes can't show them from the first time, you need to do it several times. I also had much acid going to my stomach as a result of stress or whatever was the reason. This doctor adviced me to have lavage on empty stomach so that acid could go out. It helped a lot, you can do it several times per month, I would not say more often or at least once a week when you just start. But you also need to care about your psychological state because it affects you a lot. Anyway, guys, I hope I could help you, if you have any questions concerning my case I would answer with pleasure! Take care. Anastasiia

I've also had chronic nausea for maybe 2/3 years now. At first it was everyday, then after a year it was once a week and now it's maybe once every 2/3 weeks. Although it's improved significantly naturally, I still worry about what it could possibly be (as I've had every test done) I haven't had anything serious like headaches or seizures with it so I guess I shouldn't worry too much but I can't help it and I want to know what's causing it. I've also tried every nausea pill out there and the doctors keep putting it down to "stress" though I highly doubt it.

I'm 16 and I have been getting nausea for about 3-4 years and at first I thought it was stress and I could have ibs because if school and all that. I also suffered with depression and anxiety during all that but I noticed my nausea played up during the winter, and then calms down in the summer. About 9 months ago I had a food diary and we guessed that it was gluten so I had a gluten free diet and then after that it helped a bit, I also increased my intake of vegetables and that also helped but after a while it stopped working, I then only cut out yeast and it helps a bit, I still get nausea and I'm terrified of throwing up, I haven't done that in 7 years but I'm Doug as much as I can to avoid the doctors because my mum has been through the same and went to the doctors and there was nothing they could do. I found that taking peppermint oil capsules helps a lot and also buscopan but I always still have that nausea. I'm trying a lot and my school attendance and work attendance is really getting affected from it because I have days where I can't even go to school because it's that bad

I am also having this problem, I am 21 years old. I have the same problem except I vomit everyday for the past two and a half years I fluctuate in weight by 50 to 60 lb and I have done every test imaginable and I cannot figure this out. at this point I'm not even living anymore I'm miserable I have another doctor I'm going to see in two months but it's starting the process all over again hopefully they find something because I've been to so many doctors and I've done every test they can think of and nothing.

Possibly a good allergy or IBS ? I suffer from similar symptoms but eventually started losing tons of weight because I avoid eating due to pain. Doctors take FOREVER to figure things out, I would suggest seeing a gastroenterologist.
