Hello! My son is eleven years old and he has had many problems with his throat so far. His doctor says this is chronic sore throat and that I should pay more attention to his nutrition and that I should work on improvement of his immune system. Few days ago I felt bumps near his lymph nodes behind his ears. I checked his blood and the results were all right. But, I am still concerned.
Hello! Lymph nodes are small and you can sometimes feel them under the skin. So, don't worry, it is normal. If they are swollen this is usually the sign of some infection. Since your son's results are fine there is no need to worry. Sometimes the cause of swollen lymph nodes is a virus and they usually go down again within two weeks and no treatment is usually advised. I think everything will be back in normal condition after week or two.
