Hi,
My mum had her bunion removed, hammer toes straightened and her tendions repaired the other day and today her ankle is swollen (where her bone sticks out on the side) and she is complaining that its cold, like a block of ice - has anyone else experienced these symptions after surgery and if so is this a normal part of recovery?
Regards
Vicky

Hi:
The coldness seems to indicate that there is a circulation problem, which could be serious. What did the doctor say that possible post-op side effects might be? Was this one of them. I hope that she has seen her surgeon and reported these symptoms by now. This is not something that I would ignore. I hope that by now she has fully recovered, however, Please let me know how the recovery process went and if the coldness, etc. was to be expected.
