Hello All, so it has been exactly 24 days since my last period, and 23 days since I thought I had conceived. I was having pregnancy symptoms such as bloated tummy, nausea, frequent urination, fatigue and even mood swings. I recognized all these symptoms because this was not my first pregnancy. I was pregnant before but due to personal and financial issues I had to get an abortion (don't get me wrong I regret the decision every day.) But now, I really want a baby, and I was hoping that this would be my second chance. So after the three weeks of trying to figure out if I was pregnant, and waiting to see if I would miss my period I ended up getting my period yesterday - 4 days early. I'm having bad cramping like I would if it was my normal period, I have a pretty heavy flow but the blood isn't as thick as it usually is and it seems to be a lot lighter in colour. So I'm curious, is this just my period or could I till be pregnant? My stomach still feels bloated and I still feel sick and tired all the time. I've been trying to do research but nothing really matches what I'm looking for. Someone please give me your expert advice as I really want to be pregnant, but I need to know if I should just keep trying.
Hi Wanna,
Your symptoms are not specific to pregnancy.
Did your period start or end 24 days ago? How long is your cycle?
Best case, assuming it ended then, and you had a 5-6 day cycle, then you had sex on/about day 7 of your cycle. Normally you won't ovulate until sometime between days 11 and 16 of your cycle. Sperm can survive about 5 days so if you ovulate early, it's possible.
If it has been 24 days since your period started then it is very unlikely that you would have conceived then. It was just to early.
Normally the week before your period was due you MAY see light spotting - no pad needed, very light, if you were pregnant. If you are having cramps, like normal, and have a "pretty heavy flow" then it is unlikely you are pregnant.
Sometimes your period can just be early or late.
It has been almost 3 weeks since you had sex. You can take a home test.
I'm sorry but I don't think you are pregnant from what you've described.
