i have been having really bad pressure near the front and going a little to the sides on my neck. it is pretty constant and ive had it for awhile. it kind of feels like someone is grabbing my neck with both their hands and squeezing. sometimes it gets to the point where i pretty much either cant or feel like i cant swallow or like my throat is closing up. it hurts to sing, as a matter of fact, i really cant any more, and sometimes it hurts to talk.
i have gone to the doctor and she scheduled some tests but i am really scared because of how it feels.
oh, she scheduled a thyroid ultrasound and some blood work and she also referred me to an ent.
has anyone else had anything like this?

Hi hon: It definitely sounds like a thyroid issue. It also sounds like your doctor is on this. What is probably happening is a goiter - a growth on your neck - from thyroid issues, there are MANY medications for this and therapies so try not to worry OK? I know that's a lot easier said than done. So just wait till you get the test results back and they will get you on some sort of thereapy for it! ALSO please don't research too much on the internet OK? Because you are already worried you will see the negative probabilities and not the positive ones. OK? Let me know what is happening OK?
