I know the feeling, been dealing with it since 2009 and have to take terazosin to bring the swelling down which may only last 2 days however this type of drug will give you side effects such as nausea, blurry vision headaches and depression and that is no way to live man, I am slowly deteriorating ...Too bad doctors cannot find a real solution to this problem which will eventually kill many of us very soon

Is the hip flexers exercise helped you to be pain free, can you please explain me about the hip flexers exercise that you did and if possible post if there are any YouTube videos
I had similar symptoms. They put me on Cipro for over a year because the only thing they could conclude was an infection within the prostate. Cipro seemed to help. However, after coming off of the drug the symptoms re-appeared. After several evasive procedures trying to find the problem the Urologist told me that he had no clue to why I was having the pain and I was too young for surgery. As a last resort he recommended Saw Palmetto and told me I was on my own. The herb didn't work either. It wasn't until I went to a chiropractor/naturopathy who recommended zinc (MetaGenics Zinc AG). After two days the pain went away and I only have occasional flare ups. Thinking that I can do this cheaper I tried to buy store bought brands; but, they didn't seem to work. Over several months and many blood tests later the doctor postulated that that I had a problem with absorbing oil based products due to my hyperlipidemia and only water soluble nutrients would work. Short story: Get a blood test to see if you are deficient in zinc. As one gets older you do not absorb stuff quite as efficient as if you were young. Hope this helps because I can feel your pain.
I'm 57....and I have continue prostate pain since I was 37!! no mistake 20years with pain! I had many exam, CT, MRI.....nothing found.
Hello ,
I am so sorry to hear of your pain and suffering. I too suffer from the exact same symptoms. But I believe have found the root cause. Candida!
I am in my early 30's, weighed about 215lbs, was recently diagnosed with prostatitis. I have had several urine tests and seen 3 doctors and always the exact same response - nothing or antibiotics
I took it upon myself to do lots of research. First focusing on supplements for BPH - Pyguem Bark, Quercetin, and Stinging Nettle. Epson Salt and Hot baths.
Second - Fitness and Yoga - I started working out 4 days a week and doing Yoga 2 days a week.
Symptoms improved; however, still always feels like I am sitting on freaking golf ball and have pressure/discomfort.
Third - Dieting/Juicing - "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" I took this philosophy I saw in this movie by Joe Cross, Juicing for 60 days to get healthy and rid your body of infection/disease.
On Day 10, I had lost 10lbs but ironically the pain had came back even worse then it was before.(Didn't make sense as everything I was putting inside my body was "healthy".
Then ephiphany moment, Sugar! I had been drinking apple and carrot juice with lots of sweetness and it was making it so much worse. 1st Clue which lead me to more research.
I found all my favorite foods (Beer, caffeine, cheese, anything with yeast, & sugar) that I have enjoyed for the last 20+ years and lifestyle decisions caused Candida and anti-biotics are what makes it worse! Thanks Docs! For sh*ts and giggles I emailed my doctor and ask if it could be fungal, and of course their response back – very, very unlikely.
Not accepting that fact, I started with purchasing Candida Cleanse on Amazon and felt a difference the next day. Combining everything I mentioned above with a fight against Candida – we can beat this!
Needless to say its been almost a month, I can drink wine again and I am currenlty sitting at my desk without a cushion. For me who works a desk job 8 hours and lives in Napa Valley, its priceless.
Currently I weigh about 180 lbs and feel pretty good. Still climbing, but then again, thats what its about.
I hope this information helps. Listen to your body and best of luck.
