I have this exact problem aswell. Worse after ejaculating
I developed this symptom after contracting whooping cough.
Thanks for your info. Will definitely try it
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your suggestion of using probiotics for mucous in the throat. I've tried everything thus far the doctors can come up with. The scrips have not been cutting it, so I figured what've I got to lose? You mentioned an 80% improvement since using probiotics since you began your regimen, so I'm trying it out to see how I do with it. So far so good. I noticed an overall improvement right away, even though the effects aren't supposed to really show results until at least the first 2-3 weeks. And I'm on maybe a lower dose of one times daily regimen. It is helping a LOT. So I did feel it was in order to tell you thanks for the information you shared here. Any improvement for me is a godsend. And I can tell a noticeable difference in only one week. Happy holidays!
I have had thick sticky mucus in my throat for 2 years now. About 1 month ago I looked on the internet and saw somewhere that blood pressure meds can cause this. So, I reduced my salt intake and went off of the meds. I still had the mucus but it was not sticky and thick. I could live with it because I could clear it. Yesterday after being off of the med it starting again. About 2 wks ago I had Doc. put on HCTZ. Now I am wondering if it was the HCTZ (A DIURATIC). Now I am researching the HCTZ. So far all I see is that the Blood Pressure meds cause it because it reduces the fluid in your body. Well so does the HCTZ. Check it out and I will be praying for you. I am not to (savey) on internet so I may not find you again. If you find a cure please pass it around. KK.
what probiotics capsules do u take

davidsheart Vitamin B will help eliminate the burning mouth syndrome. Also do not take Nexium it will make it worse.
My 14 year daughter is the same. Constant feeling of a gluggy throat. Tried Nasonex and Throat clear which don’t work. We are seeing a dietician next and hoping it’s dietary related even though she already avoids gluten and most dairy. She is constantly feeling nauseous which is not a way to live for a young teen.
I have a constant feeling of mucous in the back of the throat. Could it be sinusitis?
I developed thick clear glue like gunk in the back of my throat at the same time as having a very heavy infestation of threadworm.Caught from my grandson. No matter how hard I tried to cough it up ..it just hung on there.. I tried everything..gargling with salt water, cider vinegar, cloves, but nothing could shift it . It becomes much more noticeable when I eat .. loves butter! ......I think the cause may be parasitic...the problem is that most doctors are totally ignorant of parasites and would not be able to identify or treat a parasitic problem...protozoa( not visible to the naked eye) or helminths...and these are much more common that you think. It may be worth investigating this. Anti parasitic drugs??
I'm so glad to hear we're not the only ones with this issue who can't seem to get answers. My son and I have had this same problem for years. We literally clear our throats every 5 secs, it's embarrassing and annoying, and by the end of the night my throat is so sore I lose my voice. My son has gone to ENTs, he's had a camera inserted up his nose and down to his throat, chest x-rays, etc., I've tried every OTC medication available but nothing helps at all. It causes me severe anxiety because the phlegm is covering my airway and I feel like I'm suffocating 24/7/365. We don't know what to do at this point as we can't seem to get a definitive answer from a doctor.
I feel your frustration as I'm in the same boat. I was told I have Barrett's esophagus, then went to a different doctor a few years later and she said I don't have it, but the mucus covering my airway is n bearable; I feel like I'm suffocating all day, all night, every day, and it's been years, with no answers.
Same here .het a nebulizer it will help .if you are on Medicare or Medicaid it shouldn't cost you anything talk to your doctor
