I had this done in Sept of 16. Pain wasn't too bad, every few months I spot or have a very light flow but not enough to wear anything, just when I wipe. My doctor told me it's normal for the 1st year to randomly spot. Hope that helps

This is my second go with ablation..I have been bleeding for 12 days ... I am very weak and I'm about to go crazy!!!

I had my ablation done in June 2006, I was bleeding so bad with heavy clots that just standing up and it would gush out. I was lucky I stopped bleeding and have had no issue until this past week July 25, 2017. I went in for a routine pap test and told the Dr. I noticed slight spotting so he does and ultra sound on me and then tells me I need you to get and EKG and blood work. Stupid me thinks he needs this for my file. So I say that's cool I just had them done, so you need them for your files. He says no I don't like what I see, you have a lot of blood in your uterus. We need to go in there and find out what's going on. So now I'm nervous, I have a history of cancer and can't figure out, why after all these years should I be having issue. Does it ever end for us ladies.

How long did it take to finally stop spotting? I had it done 4weeks ago, thought I was done then it's back. Sometimes blood and sometimes just brown junk.

This may be your first period after the ablation. Can be 6 weeks of random spotting including the brown stuff and what looks like clumps of tissue. My doctor told me no worries unless i was in pain or developed an odor indicating infection.

It will be 7 weeks today since I've had Novasure procedure. Still have discharge, only when I use the bathroom and I'll see at bottom of toilet and when I wipe. Bright blood, brown blood, it changes. I have to wear a panti liner everyday. Blood with intercourse. Frustrated. Boyfriend can't go down on me and we always need a towel. Do not want hysterectomy. Guess I'm sol.

They can do a partial hysterectomy. They leave the ovaries so you don't go into menopause.

I had my ablation 3 and a half weeks ago. Went thru the same exact stages as you. I have been still having pink discharge and wondering what you had to do to get it to stop. Hysterectomy?

I had the Ablation 11 days ago and I notice slight cramping at random times, but not every day. I’m still showing a light pink discharge, but only enough for a panty liner. My doc told me 3 days of bleeding. After reading these posts, I question what the “right” answer is. Sounds like doctors flip a coin to give you an answer. I empathize with all you ladies. Thanks for your info!

I had an ablation done in August. I am still having heavy bleeding that lasts 2 weeks at a time with spotting during the days in between. I am so discouraged. I am going to go back to my doctor and I am expecting her to tell me I need a hysterectomy. It seems like there are too many women that continue to have problems after the procedure. Maybe doctors need to re-evaluate what they are doing and if it is helping.

Hi, I am 47 and had a D&C and Ablation done 4 1/2 weeks ago. I was having very heavy and long periods (10-21days long)before surgery, I felt this was my answer to stop or even slow down the bleeding. I guess I was wrong :( First few days it was light spotting. Day 5 I had a very heavy period that tapered to spotting again about 5 days later. Then a week later i started cramping really bad and my stomach had so much pressure and bloated to look like i was about 4 months pregnant. Then i started passing small clots and bits of "tissue". The dark old blood, cramps, clots and small tissue lasted a week then it's like the flood gates opened..Super heavy bright blood, severe cramping and large clumps of tissue...kinda scary! As soon as I stand it starts running. I'm so tired and so sick and tired of bleeding ALL THE TIME! I do not want an IUD. Please God tell me there is something else I can do to stop this bleeding besides a hysterectomy?
