You have nothing to worry about. Lumps like yours are harmless but can be annoying. They are ordinary pimples, ingrown hairs or cysts. I am sure you would recognize a pimple. It is just like the one on the face and usually can be squeezed although it is not recommended. All of the three possibilities have white stuff inside of them. Ingrown hairs are just hairs that couldn’t find they way out to the surface and got stuck under. They usually make small zits with tiny white dots. When the white dots are present it means that skin bacteria has entered the pores and infected these ingrown hairs. Then the condition is called folliculitis and you shouldn’t touch it because you may spread the infection on other parts of your genital area, as well as thighs.

Considering you said you experienced pain, I reckon you have developed these cysts. They form the same way pimples do. There are many oils glands in the scrotum. They produce sebum that is released on the skin and they lubricate the skin. When the ducts that sebum uses to get out get lodged, the sebum has no place to go and it starts accumulating, forming these cysts. In some bacteria manages to get in there as well, these cysts can become painful.

Now, pimples and foliculitis usually go away on their own but if you can’t get rid of foliculitis, a dermatologist could prescribe certain antibiotics to get rid of them sooner.

Cysts may be harder to get rid of, and they may be drained or totally removed by a doctor if they become too annoying.

It sounds to me like you ned to pay your doctor a visit and ask him some serioous questions. To me, when it comes to my most private and special of area's I would want to know all there is to know about what was happening to me.

Most likely you will see a uroligist, you should feel comfortible enough to be able to ask them anything that is bothering you.

I wish you luck with your problem. Take care ;-)

thnx m8 for ur concern :-) i have booked an appointment , but the only date he was available was a month away %-). But it cud be ok cuz its after my exams. im not feeling any of the symptons of testiclar cancer, but im still really worried.

In all honesty I dont think I would wait a month to see him about this situation. This is something you need to take care of right away, like within the next week. All the doc has to do is see you for 5 min.'s and give you a refferal appintment for a ultrasound that very same day more than likely.

Please try and push the issue and get a better appointment time.

Good luck to you ;-)

hi im 17. i have a large amount of tubes on my left testical. iv always had a large amount there for as long as i can remeber and only one tube comming from my right testical. recently iv been getting worried. the tubes completely cover the top and back of my testcial. the tubes feal realy long and all crumpled up into what at first feals like a load of lumpy stuff surrounding the behind, above and a bit of thebelow area of my left testical. but theres only one tube on my right testical. its been like the 4 about 4 years now but iv just started getting worried. is this normal to have this?

Well, I reckon yes. I don’t know about those many tubes you have been feeling but there is a tube at the top and back of each testicle that is called epididymis. This tube has its purpose and it holds sperm before it is ejaculated. Since this tube is 5-7 meters long (believe it or not), it is all curled up and has many bumps and lumps that may be felt upon examination. This is completely normal.

So, maybe you got an impression that there are tubes but maybe not.

If the tubes you are feeling are situated slightly above your left testicle, these could be dilated veins and you need to have that checked. The left side of the genitals are organized in such manner to have larger function in blood supply and it is usually the left side that gets affected. When there is a large amount of blood circulating if the mechanisms is not working properly, the blood may just accumulate and dilate veins and this may feel like a lot of tubes but these are veins filled with blood actually.

This condition is called varicocele and it may impair fertility or even make your testicle shrink if enough blood doesn’t reach it.

Ok im 18...ive had this kinda lumpy tube like feeling on my left tesitcle for years...n i never thought anything of it bc it never hurt...or caused any problems...but here lately ive had really bad spermloss...hardly anything comes out now...any wor on what this might be im worried.

There are two possible options of this lumpy tube. It is either a normal anatomical variant of the testicle or you have developed varicocele.

If you are feeling just one tube with small bumps on top of it, then you found epididymis. It is a lumpy tube that lies on the testicle itself and serves to store sperm for maturation before it is ejaculated.

But if you are feeling a lot of veins-like structures a bit above the testicle or somewhere around the testicle, this could be varicocele. VAricocele are dilated veins that have swelled due to blood accumulation in the area. This happens when some of the arteries are not working properly and this condition could cause infertility.

Another problem I have just though of is spermatocele, a cyst that may form of epididymis, that is common but very rarely causes problems. Sometimes, if it grows to be very big may prevent sperm transport, so I would suggest you saw an urologist to check if there’s an underlying cause of your low sperm production.

These were just suggestions. You may need to check testosterone levels as well.

I`m 36. never been able to have kids? Sperm just seems thick, but only small amounts would come out most of the time.

Anyway, three days ago my scrotum became sore to the touch. The squishy sack above my left testicle became very sore and swollen.

The pain went away gradually each day for three days. Now I feel a small lump with a tiny lump right next to it. It feels like a pea with a really small pea attached to with at the tip of the sack just before connects to my left testicle.

This sounds exactly like the tube I`m talking about, but a smooth round pea like circular lump has formed in this tube? I never even noticed it until I had a pain that went from my left side pelvis in one of the veins leading to my groin then to this tube in my scrotum.

I hope you find out what it is in there. Please see your doctor if you have questions about certain parts of your body. I know this sort of thing can be hard to talk about but if you don't it could be a matter of llife or death.
I wish you the best :-)
