Hi Jaques! 1st - you can just buy lube dude. No one ringing you out at Walmart will even notice probably. They ring that stuff out all the time - and I am sure they don't pay attention to the individual items they are scanning. To make it feel less weird for you - buy several other items at the same time...that way it's not just a bottle of lube.
If you really can't find a way to do this...try some lotion. Make sure it's mild - and try to keep it out of your urethra. Actual 'lube' made to be lube will probably feel even better though - because you can get different varieties...warming, tingling, etc.

Baby oil should work. Baby shampoo worked well for me in the shower.
