All of you- go to the doctors. We are not trained to diagnosis any of this stuff. I just went. I got medicine. I feel better 1) because I know the truth and 2) because I have taken the medicine and I feel better already. Stop trying to figure it out on your own. What ever it is deal with it. You can't go around for months with an infection that could cause permanent damage. I urge you, go see a specialist. Take care of yourself.

I've been dealing with this problem for over a week. My vagina is swollen, red, has sores on it, a thick white discharge and has a constant pain and burning. They have tested me for herpes twice and it keeps coming back negiative. I've been on so many antibiotics, stuff for yeast, and a yeast cream. I'm not getting any relief and I can't take this anymore. I've been to the doc. 3 times now and they really don't know what it is. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have the same problem i had sex with my bf a couple weeks ago and my vagina got swollen with paper cuts i went my ob he said it didnt look like any but a yest infection so it went away now im antibiotics for strep and my bf and had sex again and same thing happen this has never happen before
does any one have an idea what it may be

hi. i had sex with my boyfriend and then i had wounds on my vaginal walls from tearing.. i thought it was herpes since my boyfriend had sores. i got tested for STD's and everything came out negative. i had my hpv shot, penicilin g, and several anti biotics. i noticed that my wounds are healing however it itches including my anus. the doctor said that i just need to wash it with betadyne antiseptic feminine wash it seems to be improving but i can still see the redness. i do have a non foul smelling yellowish-green discharge so i had myself checked plus a papsmear, nothing came out wrong. my guess is the irritation is from the antibiotics i took. it seems to help if i frequently wash and blow dry (not directly) the area. i do wonder when this discomfort would lasts..

I've been having similar problems, it's been going on for about 7 months, I keep thinking that if I don't itch, it wil go away, I have about 3 cuts on it, and skin has been peeling off, also it seems dry, and wrinkled up, I can't see a doctor on my own, I am only 12, no I have not started my period yet, and yes I been having discharges for about 6 months, I told my mom, she doesn't seem to care. Should I tell her again and tell her that it's getting worse? Does anyone know what is going on? I'm sick of having to walk and sit awkwardly just so the cuts don't hurt, also my left labia minora seems bigger than the other, I haven't really noticed it before, it must be swelling. What do I do?

To the 12 year old girl: Sweetie, you need to tell your mom again. If she doesn't listen, you might want to tell your school nurse and ask for help. Try not to be scared. It seems like everyone is agreeing that it can be taken care of. I hope!, since I'm on this website for the same reason. Write again and let us know how it goes. Good Luck!

Yeah I have the same paper cuts type of itch, I called the doctor, and without seeing the doc the LPN told me its a yeast infection, one or three day meds dont work use the 7 day Monistat. The itching wont go away til treatef.

Wow, guess there's a lot of us with this problem! I've found that I mostly get the vaginal "paper cuts" after intercourse; my research has led me to believe it's due to vaginal atrophy, which can cause thinning of the tissues, as well as dryness...another gift from the "menopause fairy"! I plan on seeing a doctor to find out if I'm a candidate for bio-identical hormones, which contains estrogen, progesteron and/or testosterone, depending on your needs. Apparently, they come in a cream form, which you apply to your skin, so they bypass the stomach/intestines, and are more available for your body's use. In the meantime, I know to use an appropriate lubricant (some burn my sensitive skin) and avoid "enthusiastic" sex...at this point, extreme gentleness is absolutely necessary. And remember...it's "bio-identical hormones"...not synthetic! Oh, btw, there's lots of literature about them...just ask Suzanne Somers!

P.S. For the guest who says she's only 12, and has the problem: You seem really educated for your age...I'm guessing you did your research! I just have to wonder if someone has been sexually abusing you...if that's so, PLEASE talk to someone who can help...as suggested, the school nurse, a trusted aunt/older friend, teacher, whomever...no one deserves that kind of treatment! One more thing: I hope you're keeping yourself clean...otherwise, you can get sore, etc.

Here is what I do to cure the cuts: lay down in the bath tub and mix baking soda and water until it is a runny paste and apply to the entire vaginal area (inside and out), let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse it off. Do this twice a day. It had never taken more than three of these treatments to cause my cuts to go away.

I have suffered with this for more that 20 years and had no luck having it diagnosed. More than 15 doctors, specialists and anyone you can imagine. It was so itchy, sore and felt like paper cuts on my vagina. I was tested for every std known to man and have none of them. Finally I went to Dr. Patel in Regina and she diagnosed me with a fungal infection and gave me clotrimaderm cream. within two days I was totally cleared up. I was actually getting this on my tongue as well and she said to gargle with salt water, as yeast doesn't grow in salt. I will be prone to this for the rest of my life, but now that I know how to fix it I can actually move on.

Hello everyone,  recently , well at least since this past Monday , its now thursday, ive noticed i feel really sore down there, & it does burn here and there when i urinate .. Also its itchy so bad it hurts at times.. I had to sit on a ice pack the other day. I've been sleeping in big shirts , with nothing on underneath so i can feel more comfy.
 I haven't had sex in a while, because of my poly cystic ovarian syndrome. it causes me to have irregular periods , so i really never know when i will start or stop..

I don't know if maybe its from wiping too hard or what, I have some discharge , not much , its like white slime ish, i dont notice any smell. But it does look inflammed.  I'm hoping it will go away on its own, but now im debating on calling the doctor .. gahhh. its so embarrassing. what do i say to them when they ask what am i coming in for??

its best you visit the doctor or gynea cos different people with the same symptoms do not mean its the same kind of infection.AVOID self medication, whether cream ,inserts or drugs. See your doctor 1st.

I have the cuts only on the left side..is anyone else like this? Only on one side? And my whole lip aches...I have been tested for everything and the tests always come back negative. But my doctor keeps saying to come back and get tested for herpes everytime the cuts come back, because they're only on one side. I'm so stressed. :( :'(

Believe it or not...and I think this may be something to think of.....dust mites or some other type parasite can get into your skin and begin this....I HAD the same problem and it continued until my but was covered in a sever rash and the split went from the top of my buttocks down the center almost to the anus....my doctor told me to wash and dry and then just apply coritzone cream only....2 a day...and prescribed an antibiotic as a preventative measure because the split in between my butt checks could get infected by the fecal matter.....it worked like a charm and I also did a vaginal yeast infection OTC and those all seemed to work....started on 10/30 ---- continued until 11/10 and started to clear up on the 11/11 when I started the antibiotic and cortizone cream....I stayed off my back side the entire weekend with no underwear and just rested the entire weekend by Sunday Evening I could tell I was healing well........I took benedryl every 4-6 hours because initially I had an allergic reaction to something and broke out in hives and scratched the hell out of the hives and that's what I though caused it...but now I am begining to believe that the dust mites in my chair from work may have bitten me and caused the hives.../ rash ....I forget where I read it....but somewhere out in the net while researching what seems to be common issue. And..the Benedryl seemed to also help.

man its so good to hear this for two years ive had yeast and uti s for the longest now ive been told i have ic which is a bladder disorder but these yeast infections are getting worse an now have two cuts on my vagina and they hurt like hell i go to the doctor friday but i dont knw what im goin to dobecause icant take antibotics i knw its yeast infections but they wont stop i got tested for stds already but still
