Just like many women I’m also trying to fight excessive weight and cellulite and since I don’t like running because it’s too boring in my opinion, I’m thinking about buying a bike and start cycling. I’ve heard that cycling is great for calorie burning. Can you tell me how long I have to cycle in order to burn, let’s say, 500 calories?

The first mistake that everybody makes is counting every calorie they spend by exercising. That creates a tension and it is very exhausting. The activity you choose should be pleasant for you and if you’re going to observe it only through calories spent, you can’t be successful. You should just get down to it seriously and eagerly and the results won’t miss. But if you insist, here are the approximate values. It also depends on your weight so since I don’t know yours I’ll tell you the values for a person with 70kg. When you cycle with an average speed, you can spend about 10 calories per minute. So for an hour you burn 60 calories. I guess that this may seem pretty disappointing to you, but just be persistent and you’ll see.

The time you are wasting to find that information could already bring you less calories. Don't bother with numbers, buy a bike and start cycling and the calories will go away.
