Hi there, I just found out I am pregnant. Took three tests all came back positive, the thing is I have lupus and epilepsy. I have mild cramps that come and go, and dark brown spotting. I am wondering if that is normal or if I need to go get checked out earlier than my doctors appointment. This is my first pregnancy and don't know what to expect any info or input would be appreciated.

I know its scary to see any bleeding during pregnancy but some women do have some bleeding/spotting and everything is just fine. The time to worry is usually if you have a strong cramp and then gush some blood, those are productive cramps that rarely good news. Make sure you drink plenty as dehydration will make the cramps feel worse. If the bleeding continues or gets heavier go get checked out sooner. They can do 2 blood tests a couple of days apart to make sure the hcg levels are rising correctly as it should in a normal pregnancy. I wish you all the best x
