I loath this diagnoses for my daughter, but the weight loss is scaring me to death
all we do is come in every two to three weeks get another blood test for platelet count
which is 79000 right now, and the note the weight loss...
my daughter had a second episode of chicken pox 1 month prior to diagnoses
and the week before she first got the red little spots on her ankles
she was cleaning the yard and got ant bites around her ankles
ankles became swollen and the doctor gave her antibiotics that she has never had before
for the supposed infected ant bites
few days later the first itp showed up, it has since traveled up her legs to her buttocks her arms hands
now her torso and last neck and face.
but again there is NO explanation for weight loss
its scaring me to death...
anyone have heard of weight loss with ITP?
and so far no medicine for she is not down to 50,000
which is when the doctor puts some kids on predistone
what do you think?

wow.. are you shure they were ant bites and not anything else?
