Hello.
I have been having vaginal itching lately and i came across articles saying that aloe vera gel is good to soothe itchiness. The problem is, the only aloe vera gel i have is the 'fruit of the earth aloe vera gel' so i used it on my vagina. Then the next day i came across other articles saying that it contains carcinogenic ingredients such as triethanolamine, so i freaked out. I washed my vagina then but i'm pretty sure some of it came into the inner part of my vagina.
My questions are;
1) would i be at risk for any harmful disease, such as cancer if i had only used it once?
2) does it have any long term effect or washing it would just get rid of it?
3) I occasionally use feminine wash, is it safe?
Thank you so much!
Hi, I would say you would be safe but would advise against using that on your vagina as it could cause an upset in the PH balance in the vagina and lead to thrush ot BV.
If a product used on the skin was going to cause cancer when in contact with any part of the skin for such a short amount of time it wouldn't be alowd to be sold.
Feminine wash is fine to use there as its ment for areas like that, I would look round and get some special cream ment for use on that area for itchy skin then your be ok.
If you Google feminine itch cream then it should give you names of ones to use. :-)
