I was dating this guy for about 3 months, so we decided to have sex. But I could not do it because I was not ready so I let him finger me. It was hard and I felt some pain. After this I let him finger me in two days again. It hurt a little more. Then I went to the restroom and urinated. I noticed that I was bleeding a little bit. The bleeding continued for about 4 days. I thought it was my period. So now I am just not sure if the bleeding came from my period or from breaking the hymen because I did feel some sort of pain but it was not that bad.

well it wasn't your hymen as it is only supposed toe bleed temporarily and very briefly. As in it should stop after a few minutes. Your hymen may have been broken but it would not have cause you to bleed for 4 days.

No the hymen does not always bleed when one has sex for the first time. It all depends on how far it can stretch and how larger your partner is and even then it's no guarantee that you will bleed.
