Smoking has never helped with anxiety: that is simply a myth/false belief. Smoking creates its own cycle of anxiety and relief (the cycle of addiction) which is alleviated every time you smoking. You managed day-to-day i.e. non-smoker anxiety just fine as smoking never had anything to do with it. It just felt like it did.

I'm the same I quit in Feb their year and still have terrible stomach cramps, bloating, constipation and diarrhoea. Have tried going lactose free, gluten free and taking probiotics but it's actually getting worse!! It's reached a point where smoking again would actually make me feel better!!!

I am in week 3. I had reduced over time to 2 to 3 a day & then quit thinking it would be easier on my body. Well, I too am bloated, wonky and unable to eat much. Here is my current morning program. A cup of good quality yogurt with a teaspoon of psyllium. Do not mix it in. Just put a little on the spoon and dip in the yogurt. You can also take apple, cantaloupe, mango really any fruit and dip the slices into the psyllium to coat the fruit. Also slicing fresh ginger root (keep frozen) about a half inch slice and putting in hot water with honey. Milk will not curdle this. I drink it off and on all day. You can snack a bit.....dates, apricots, even a few nuts, pecans, cashews but not too many. All this should keep things moving at least. And of course exercise! I have mild headache and feel faint sometimes. Our nervous systems have been so impacted by smoking. Be kind to yourself! Keep the faith.
