How long did it take for the bleeding to go away?
Did you heal??
For most young women with endometriosis a hysterectomy will not cure or possibly even help.
The periods themselves do not cause endo. I would get a second opinion.
If your daughter goes ahead with the hysto- make sure there is testing looking for the condition similar to endo that causes problems inside the uterine walls. Only a full pathology report will confirm.
Endometriosis is not typically adequately treated or cured by hormones (including BC, depo) at best those who have dedicated careers to it suggest surgery to have your abdominal cavity outside your uterus scraped. Unfortunately the number of surgeons able to competantly do this is very limited. Typically an experienced surgeon in endometriosis is your prefered bet, but many do not work out well with insurance and require at least some out of pocket money in the US.
On the down side endo can't be diagnosis fully without a surgery, but on the plus it can be diagnosed and treated in the same laparoscopic procedure. Unfortunately some women have to have bowel resections done during this, which can ad to cost and complication.
In the case of endo or suspected endo- do your own research!!!- a lot. Don't take your doctors at their word, because very few know how to propery treat from what I can tell.

This sounds a lot more like a kidney stone.
Hey y'all,
Im 30 years old and I've been dealing with ovarian cysts since I was 14. I've had 3 surgical removals and I've had 5 rupture on their own. It sucks, but I just take two tramados and lay in bed with a heat pad and pray until I can move around again...
i have two kids, 1 and 3 years old, and while I was pregnant and up to a year after having my babies I didn't have the problem of cysts- now that my youngest is almost 2 I just suffered another rupture here at home.
A part of me thinks that our bodies want a baby- like the uterus is always trying to get a baby in it- and when it's not happening it holds on to an egg or follicle on the ovary- and turns it into a cyst to fake the feeling of being pregnant...
I know, weird...
Then when it pops it hurts like labor pains....
Why are our bodies so messed up sometimes!?

Sounds like a UTI
I have this problem also I have endometriosis and have had a shots and a partial hysterectomy due to blood loss and always having to have blood transfusions. I still have my ovaries and the cyst are almost worse now or at least I feel them more. I have one now I can barely function or wear jeans or anything that is on my waist line it hurts so badly. And just today I am having some discharge from it I assume.
I can relate to all these stories I only had trouble when I had to pee after a cat scan I was admitted into hospital for further tests and observation I had a slight temperature the cyst was a rather large fluid mass they told me it will go away but if it insists to be painful go back to hospital I went to a health store and spoke to the naturopath I take Garlic oil perls x 3 a day and she made a medication that worked a charm I have to take another bottle but less x per day I feel great I stopped eating processed oils energy drinks Cold drinks coffee and I love coffee but it interferes with natural medicine counteracts, I had an ultrasound and my ovary looks as good as the other I had a hysterectomy but the Ovaries remain so it could flare again but for now I feel great
I had these symptoms and it was kidney stones
Hi ladies, I have 3 ovarian cyst and I think one just ruptured but don't really know. I just took a shower and saw light color blood like I'm spotting. Right now it feel like I'm having my period. Yesterday I was in a lot of pain. Don't know what to do not suppose to have my period until the 30th of this month.
Hello,
I had a cyst rupture about 5 weeks ago and then it ruptured again last night. They said they think it finally fully ruptured. So honestly listen to your body and you. If you feel you should go check in with your doctor definitely do it as there is nothing wrong with it. Now I have to go through the pain and all this trying to heal all over again and it sux.

Yes! But my discharge is same but some times it is a blackish or brown discharge with a smell.
How can you tell when they burst
I have the same symptoms and i have a ovarian cyst of 7.5 cm , dont worry its not chlamydia. But you have to go check the type of cyst you have and get treatment
Sorry I know your post was awhile ago and you might not see this - but our symptoms are exactly the same.
Did you end up seeking further treatment or did your body just clear it on it's own? I'm worried that the yellowish/odorish discharge means infection and I should do something more.
