Would probiotic help??

I have the same issue. I wake up and I'll be okay for a little bit but then I get hungry and if I don't eat soon enough my stomach swells with gas and hurts like a balloon about to pop. I've found that eating before it happens is the only preventative that seems to work. As far as treating it once it happens my girlfriend told me to try downward dog(a yoga position) which I know isn't always a thing you can just stop and do, but it really seems to shift the pressure and helps relieve the pain.

Did you ever find out what it was? I have the same issue.

Hi. I suffer from something that sounds like this but I wanted to ask - my symptoms only really occur in my stomach - behind the bottom of my left ribs, not my intestines. Is that other people’s experience? It make a lot of noise (like you’d hear in the next room noise!) and I get a horrible hollow feeling. I try and eat something before I go to bed but by 1/2am I’m normally awake and unable to get back to sleep it’s so bad. Thanks

I have had this for years. The thing that stopped it was giving up sugar and carbs for a few months and then it stopped. It's just come back, but so has my sugar intake.

I have this same issue. Gave up gluten but have been slowly adding pizza and Italian bread back in and now my issue has been happening more and more. This pain is so annoying and no one I know gets it. I’ve been this way for probably 35 years. Gluten free seems to be my answer.
